Why is the number of labels rationed on a free account?
A few labels can't stress the mail servers overmuch!

I've got used to using labels, instead of a hierarchy of folders.
However, assigning multiple labels to a message doesn't work well (as they hide each other)
50 labels, ideally allocated hierarchally (so the same same name can have two different meanings) would be very nice to have.
I've only reached a limit of about 15 labels, so far - but I definitely need another 10 shortly. -

From :- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Local-part
Despite the wide range of special characters which are technically valid, organisations, mail services, mail servers and mail clients in practice often do not accept all of them. For example, Windows Live Hotmail only allows creation of email addresses using alphanumerics, dot (.), underscore (_) and hyphen (-).
Common advice is to avoid using some special characters to avoid the risk of rejected emails.

Read the email, then select the attachment(s).
Save (or view) the attachment.
Works for me.

Download as an encrypted file - an email could be sent containing a relevant key to allow decryption.

Thank you for your suggestion. Password security is incredibly important and something we take very seriously at Proton Technologies. We will consider add a Password Manager to our product suite roadmap.

I use paper & ink for important passwords.
I can trust Firefox to remember the low-impact web site registrations etc. -

I can struggle to get by within the limitations of a free account and Protonmail get nothing.
This is just do-able for me.
or
I could afford perhaps 10 Euro/year for a basic personal account & Protonmail get some cash.
I can't afford 48 Euro, though. And after this stupid Brexit the price will go up for me, stuck in the UK.
Are Premium accounts the same thing as free accounts?
BTW It's 2020 now - the last "planned" date was 2015...
