    I hope I'm wrong as this is the main reason I won't buy protonmail and need to setup my own mail server, but I think you guys are dreaming, and they aren't going to ever implement this. They say why on this reddit post.

    Basically they are afraid of abuse and thus being banned. I am surprised however that they still need to worry about abuse when a user is using a custom domain. As I would have thought the domain would just get flagged and not there mail servers. But I guess it depends on how everything is connected.
