There are two issues with the "All Mail" Button. One, it's proximity to the "Trash" button requires extra vigilance so as to not "trash" everything in my folders. Two, the "All Mail" button includes the FINAL delete button - which adds to its precarious position. If one rushes and thinks they are in the "Trash" area and hit delete forever . . . oops, no recourse to retrieve. It would seem that, regardless of its position, the "All Mail" button should not have the delete all feature . . . period.
