Being able to create custom folders
You seem to believe that the ability to add folders is "Completed" by telling people to use labels. Color labels just don't cut it.
All the emails will still reside in my inbox or archive. Every other internet email service offers the option to create custom folders, why not Protonmail? This issue has come up again and again from the start.

New plus user here. I need the ability to create folders and sub-folders. Labels do not cut it.

Without this feature ProtonMail is unusable for me.

Apart from IMAP support, folders are the most crucial feature missing. Without them, filters do not make much sense. For me personally, it is a condition to switch to ProtonMail as primary provider.

Indeed. There are not differences between labels and folders, effectively.
And once filtering is implemented... it becomes automated. -

Labels are folders, we just call them labels. You should be able to organize your emails as intended with the label system.

I hope I'm just missing it but I MUST be able to add my own custom folders to store valuable vendor/customer emails for future reference. Not labels. I must close my account w/o this feature

Folders are a necessity for most of us! Please introduce this on a coming update.

I see you can create labels but are you going to implement the "create folders" anytime soon so we can store and organize our messages more easily? Please do so. Thanks.

This is a must-have not a nice-to-have!
1gb, 5gb or 50gb of email data can not possibly be managed without folders.
Unless you use the space for movies or huge pictures in which case you don't need email you need cloud storage! -

i would like to have a feature that i know gmail offers basicly when your add a sender to a "filter or label list" when you recieve a email it is moved into that folder/label automaticly so it doesnt fill up your inbox
the one thing driving me crazy is all these emails going into my inbox and me having to archive them when they should just be sent into their own folders/label without me manuallying doing it -

Thanks Jennifer, I totally agree.
Having all emails in my inbox makes no sense, as it creates clutter and hinders organization.
PLEASE guys, get it together here, others (i.e. gmail, gmx etc.) have made the same mistake with labels and changed to use folders.... please get with the program.....

why did you get rid of the functionality of dragging emails to a folder to clear them from the inbox? i don't want all of my emails sitting in my inbox!

There are some email senders from which I receive many messages that I like to read at my leisure and not have them clutter my inbox until I get to them. In order to keep well organised, I need to be able to create additional folders with rules to automatically filter out messages from the main inbox. Otherwise very happy, thanks.

We would like folders so that emails from a certain person can be put in that folder, Labels are not good and folders are easier to find certain emails from certain people so something like what outlook.com email has.
