Please add a feature to hide archived mails when I'm opening label view.
I'm organizing emails with label by sender, but Proton Mail shows every emails when I'm opening label view.
I need filter functionality.

Reduce mail label and folder display
There is no option to reduce the display of labels and folders from the side menu. If you have many folders or labels, this creates a very long menu, and on mobile devices, you have to scroll all the down to reach the settings. It would therefore be useful to be able to reduce the display via a menu and make the interface cleaner.

Search by name on Compose Mail window
On new message window when writing the to address Proton only searches to give you suggestions by email address. I want to search by name (the one set in Contacts) not by email as people have a lot of times impossible to remember email addresses.

Lock the proton calendar apps
I have noticed today that we can set up a new email for recovery within the proton calendar app. That's make me worry that a malware or intruder could be able to access our calendar and then replace a recovery method by its own email, instead of one we might own.

Disable Archive, Delete is Delete
Deleted mail now ends up in Archive which means additional effort to delete it again, Archive should be a Users choice and frankly should be considered like any other user defined folder. It's simple a place to put an email that you don't want to delete and frankly the user should create rules for what goes into folders. In a nut shell, I don't agree with the whole concept of a Mail app managing the users mail, the User should be the one controlling what happens with the mail. Anything beyond that should be a option the user must enable to use. One day finding out deleted mail is now in Archive and yet another thing to manage? Newsletter is another, now the user has to remove things that they never wanted collected. features are great if it is what the user wants, but should not be blindly enabled.

feature that allows users to block or delay outgoing emails
Feature Request: Outgoing Email Block / Cool-Down Rule
I would like to request a feature that allows users to block or delay outgoing emails based on recipient domain or custom rules.
For example:
Prevent sending emails to specific domains (e.g. organisation or employer domains)
Require a mandatory cool-down period (e.g. 24 hours) before emails to certain recipients can be sent
Allow outgoing messages to be automatically saved as drafts instead of sent
This would be extremely valuable as a safety and accessibility feature, particularly for users experiencing stress, anxiety, or impulsive behaviour, and for those who want stronger safeguards against accidental or regretted emails.
Proton Mail already offers strong privacy protections, and an outgoing block or delay option would be a meaningful extension of user control and wellbeing.
Thank you for considering this request.Feature Request: Outgoing Email Block / Cool-Down Rule

I would very much like to be able to change the default font to something other than Arial.
Arial is not a particularly screen friendly font, according to my old eyes anyway, and has a somewhat distastefully history. If there is a way to change it, it should be in Settings IMHO.

Auto-Delete Spam
For all email addresses that I have flagged as spam, anytime an email arrives from one of these senders, do not place the email into spam. Either reject it outright or immediately delete it. This could be a feature flag that the user can enable or disable.
It's tiring seeing my spam folder with 1000's of known spam messages as I try to look for something that may have landed there in error.
If I've explicitly flagged a sender as spam, I do not need to know that a message has come from that sender. It should be automatically discarded - or even rejected as perhaps an unknown email address.

Collect emails every xx minutes from external mailboxes
That would be great to be able to collect emails from external email addresses using a task scheduler, rather than setting up forwarding on external mailboxes ( when it's possible)

User Defined Event Type
One could set an event type i.e.: gym session, romantic date, friend date, etc.
Then, set color scheme, time allotted, reminder schedule for each event typeWhen setting up a new event, a dropdown of user defined event types, click on event type and just change the date and title!
Seems simple, no?

Yearly View
Personally it’s easier to navigate through months with a yearly view. For example if I have a trip planned in May 2025, I need to scroll through 14 months to view the details of the event I made.

Stylus - S-pen: follow link and select text (Android)
Proton mail for Android: Enable selecting text and opening links using (Samsung Galaxy Tab S11) S-pen / stylus - this doesn't currently seem to be possible. Currently when using the S-pen, I have to switch to using finger touch to open a link.

Disable SimpleLogin quarantine on an alias
I use a lot of aliases with SimpleLogin. An increasing number of emails received by these aliases seem to be flagged and immediately sent to the quarantine, meaning that I have only 7 days to cheek the messages before they get deleted.
This is not a good experience when there is a chance that an important email gets flagged and deleted before you get the chance to look at it.
So it would be useful if there was a way to toggle this feature on/off

mobile app smart folders
Android (and iOS, also, I'm assuming) needs to be able to save searches to a smart folder. Other mobile apps do this (airmail for iOS, and em Client for android and Windows). It's doable, but from what I've been reading in here, it's not been implemented yet. Please add this functionality.

In Proton Mail on iOS and iPadOS: Inbox sorting
please consider an Inbox sorting feature that allows putting the oldest emails at the top; therefore, deleting or archiving the email results in opening the next email directly. It’s more intuitive to read emails from oldest to newest. As it stands now, the newest emails default to the top of the Inbox. In order to read the oldest emails from the bottom, it requires opening the email, reading it, deleting it, then clicking to open the next email, instead of opening the email directly.
