Add more notificaiton sound choices.
I'm a bit hard of hearing, as are many; the current default incoming mail sound is too soft and nondistinct. Even running Boom 3D, it's too soft to be noticed most of the time. Allowing the user to customize sounds would be ideal.

Verification badge
Since the recent campaign using proton to impersonate recruiters or high level profiles to get information or spread malware, would be good to have a "Verified" badge.
Both a page on the website to check if an address is verified and a badge next to the email for other proton users, like the "Official" for Proton.
Although I understand proton is also used by people that want anonymity, there are also journalists and other figures (especially since the introduction of the Sentinel program) that would like a more public-facing approach.
Verification could be done without handling IDs by either verifying…

Lack of "Tasks" and/or "To Do" is degrading product adoption and leaving the rest of us open to alternative products.
The very basic functionality of task and to-do lists was included in the very first Personal Information Managers (PIM) from the 1990s, and was a primary motivation for the adoption of these sorts of software (and hardware) products -- motivated users were tired of a stack of paper scraps and post-it notes in their purse or wallet or written upon their forearm.
While pleased to see Proton moving to effectively compete with Google Workspace and all the related products, the absence of this very basic functionality makes for a product that cannot effectively replace the sorts of enterprise business systems…

re-send an email
When viewing a sent mail, add a item under the "..." more options called: resend. When clicking this button the composer opens with all the content (recipients, subject, body and attachments) from the previously sent mail, user can then edit anything as if it is a new mail, and send it as a new mail.

Movable 'save attachment' popup
Currently when I'm saving an attachment to local drive, there is a popup subscreen showing the MacOS Finder folders etc. But this subscreen is not movable (only resizable) and it stays in the center. So in many cases I can not see the document's content to take over specific info that I use for file name.
When movable, it would be possible to read&write invoice numbers, dates, subjects etc to used for file name.
Even better if Lumo can suggest a file name for me, based on the content and some global rules such as "always add prefix yyyymmdd" to…

File name suggestion by Lumo
Usa Lumo to scan a attachment's content to suggest a (new) file name while saving an attachment.
Use case: when we scan a hard copy document with the scanner and send it as email, the attachment has a random number. It saves a lot of time to have Lumo suggesting a file name such as "yyyymmdd Tax application 2026.pdf" based on the content of the pdf.

set time zone manually
Proton mail uses the browser time zone for all events and there is not a way to set it manually. I use Librewolf to minimize browser fingerprinting and one of it's features (which is not easy to turn off separately) is that is displays the time zone to websites as Zulu / GMT, instead of local time. This means that calendar events come in with a time shift displayed in email. They are correct in the calendar since Calendar allows you to set the time in the top bar.

warn when reply to is different than from
I just had a fishing attempt from someone I know, and the phisher had set the reply-to address to be a different account. I initially did not notice because the To line for reply does not show the email address by default.
It would be good if there was a warning that the reply-to is different than the From address.1 vote -
Separation of Proton and Custom Domain Mailboxes
Currently, Proton email addresses and custom domain addresses share the same mailbox view, which mixes all emails together. This approach feels unintuitive and makes it harder to manage communication across different identities.
I would prefer the ability to separate custom domain email accounts from Proton accounts into distinct mailbox views (or “drawers”). While it’s possible to use filters and folders as a workaround, this requires manually duplicating structure (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.), which quickly leads to a cluttered sidebar and added maintenance overhead.
Would you consider introducing an option to define how email addresses are grouped within the interface? For…

Allow drag and drop to sort folders/labels outside of "All Settings" menu
Every other email client I’ve used lets you rearrange folders/labels with simple drag and drop. For some reason, Proton requires you to open a separate settings menu just to change folder order, which is incredibly frustrating, especially if you reorganize often.
What’s more confusing is that you can drag and drop default categories like “Inbox,” “Drafts,” and “Sent,” but not your own folders or labels.

Mark 'Spam' as read
Emails automatically filtered to Spam should be marked as read - not to distract from actual unread emails. Even better, it should be a user-selectable option.

Add a 1 button apply all Filters to existing emails somewhere on the main page.
When creating filters for the first time, you have to either go to the settings menu to create and run them or you have to click the check box of an email > click the move the folder icon > select the folder > select 'Always Move sender's emails'. To apply that filter to past messages, you still have to go into filter settings, and run that 1 filter against the entire inbox.
If someone has a mailbox that they've never organized, this adds a lot of unnecessary back and forth between the Inbox to select an email and create…

Trafft Integration
I use Trafft as my booking system. It relies on an integration with Google calendar in order to check if I'm free for appointments. It's a 2 way system, so Trafft can read my Google calendar, and also write new appointments to it. This isn't possible with Proton, which is why my calendars are still with Google. I'd love to move them. Can you make this happen?

Option to select oldest conversations in the trash
When you're trying to clean up the trash on the web client, you can either select every message one-by-one or select all of them at once; you cannot select, for example, the oldest 500. The selection checkbox only has options to "select all", select read/unread and starred/unstarred.
I currently have 8000 messages in my trash (I just found out that it doesn't auto-delete on free accounts 🤡), so I'd like to delete only the oldest 7500. For safety, I don't want to wipe all the newer messages; who knows, I might need to recover something in there.

Need pop up event notifications like Outlook does
Calendar event notifications should pop up in a new window just like calendar event notifications in Outlook. Currently they only show up in the Windows notification section in the lower right corner, but it's too easy to miss. I've missed some reminders because of this, whereas with Outlook I never missed reminders because there would be a flashing pop up window on my desktop.
This seems like it would be an easy add but it's also kind of critical for me because the whole reason for calendar event notifications is to see them and be reminded.
