One of the problems with this "voting" system is that the same ideas end up in many different places. I don't think the ProtonMail staff are managing this system. They should be consolidating duplicates so they end up all in the same place.

Probably others that I missed.

Please allow us to set a default font size and type on the web service as well as on the mobile app. This is a fairly basic feature, i hope it can be added soon.

Being able to change the default font and size seems so basic. Some of us are older, or write to older folks, and really appreciate larger fonts. I change the font for virtually every email I send. I checked the subscribed version, and it seems like one can't change the font default even if one pays to upgrade.

I have been keeping a watch for the day when the mobile app has the option of setting font size. People who wear glasses need the ability to increase font size in order to easily use the application. I love the premise of protonmail - three years ago I made the effort to switch entirely to protonmail, only to switch back to gmail simply because of the need for dynamic text. The product is great - but the interface in the form of dynamic text needs to catch up in order for many of us to realize the benefits. I would happily pay the subscription fee once this is in place.

I am with the others here. I am reluctant to switch to Protonmail completely because of the teeny weeny little fonts with the micro midget characters. I can't understand why you did not implement such a simple feature like font sizing.

How do I change the default font in Compose? I hate arial. How about adding more fonts? Serif fonts are more readable.

Having a very difficult time using ProtonMail on Android due to the small font size. Please add an option to let us increase the font size inside the Mobile App.

Changing default font needs to be simpler.

Just paid for Plus because before I tested this because I assumed there wouldn't be ANY WAY POSSIBLE for an email client in 2018 to NOT have default font selections on message compose. If you want to be taken seriously, this isn't optional...it's vital. Being sold on a product because of security and then failing to deliver a working product because of BASICS...unforgivable in 2018. Clean it up, learn what people actually WANT in an email client and you might have a chance. The devil's in the details.

I am reluctant to upgrade to a paid ProtonMail account because of the small font size in the Android app. When will an option for larger fonts be implemented within the app?

This works for me:
Settings -> Appearance -> 'Load classic theme' [so you can edit the CSS afterwards] -> in the field 'Custom theme' changebody { font-size: 14px }
body,
.pm_opensans {
font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, sans-serif
}to the values you prefer -> Save

Please please please! I need the default font and size to match my default signature format, without having to go through multiple steps for each message.

I would like this too. Most of my contacts what my emails in a larger font. So almost every time I compose an email I have to change the font settings. This really seems like an easy update.
