Add Rich Text Editor and increase character limit in Description of Events
The Event Description is a really important feature. Currently it does not have a rich text editor and the character limit is really low.
I use this feature quite a bit in Google Calendar. I think it is a must have and pretty important requirement.

Although the "Add Description" field can show many unicode glyphs (ver. 2.23.0), I would like to see greater rich text features, such as the use of multiple fonts and styles within the same description field. This would really help to visualize and distinguish key elements of lengthy and otherwise monotonous text.

Like some comments already posted. In the details field I usually paste text from emails written using HTML or RTF. The pasted content contains images, tables and links to resurces that add to the context of the event

I like adding more details in my events using hyperlinks to important resources and ordered and unordered lists.
Adding rich text to the description field would be a big improvement.

It is pretty critical from a business perspective, Since you often will include links for additional documentation or meeting notes, shared workspace links, or images in a calendar invite for a business related meeting.

I think this could be divided into two separate suggestions; "Add Rich Text Editor to event description" and "Remove character limit in event description".
Sure, it would be great to just increase the limit, but as I haven't encountered any other service that has a character limit I think it should simply be removed completely. There's already another suggestion for just that - https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932842-proton-calendar/suggestions/43604232-no-character-limitation-for-calendar-events.
