Support BIMI
I really like that Proton makes it easy to add email security features including DMARC. I am taking advantage of this. One thing that is coming is BIMI and given that full support is going to require signing the logo and demonstrating it can be trusted. It seems like a natural fit for Proton to add hosting support for BIMI to its email service.

Oh, could it be that Proton Mail takes brand indicator logo based on domain name? Are they fetching the favicon from company web pages?

As a response to AW, I don't exactly know what is happening, but I'm seeing some brand indicators in Proton Mail. No idea, why some brands are indicated with the logo and some are not even they have BIMI set up correctly. Maybe there is some self defined logic in Proton Mail deciding when brand indicator is shown and when not. Would be interesting to hear more.

Any updates to this being on a roadmap? It looks like its been requested for some time. I want to put all eggs in the proton mail basket. But I need BIMI to increase trust for my brand and open rates for the emails I am sending. This is a critical feature to have to stand out in the inbox.

This would be a useful addition to increase security and trustworthy of emails sent by Protonmail users.

As a comment to Kei Onimaru; I wouldn’t add self defined methods for trust. Dmarc and BIMI both are well accepted industry standards. Proton should follow official standards and be involved in developing well adopted standards instead of creating own.

Even if Proton doesn’t want to implement BIMI, it would still be very helpful to have some way for users to visually distinguish trusted senders at a glance in the message list. For example, allowing user-defined icons or a simple visual cue would make it much easier to spot important emails without relying on BIMI certificates.

Yes, i think proton devs should quickly adapt BIMI [https://support.google.com/mail/answer/13130196?hl=en&visit_id=638650473133055987-3957147276&p=bimi_verification&rd=1] as 'Official' label.

This would be great. Adding it with custom or integrated domains. for example having a hosting url for an image using the drive of the user for example.

This should be implemented on every e-mail client.

I am not sure if Microsoft 365 and Tutanota support BIMI, but it would be really nice to have it for Proton Mail definitely.

I'm seeing branding logo's within Proton mail lately.
Are these coming from BIMI, or is a different standard being used? -

Gmail just implemented it. Would be great to have Proton display some kind of indicator to help fight phishing.
