When emails require a follow up, it is only common sense that one click should add an event to your calendar for follow up. Simply launching the create event routine and bringing over the body text of the email should be a simple feature. It would be even better with the option to add the sender and other recipients on the email to the attendee list.. But just a one click option with some context from the email is desperately needed.

Can we combine the threads revolving around this feature, it seems like there are a lot more votes in total across several similar (or identical) threads.

I hate having to manually input meeting details and would be just like my work e-mail (outlook) dragging it to the calendar date and it creates an appointment or meeting, then puts the e-mail in the meeting for reference or use the reply with meeting option...huge time saver and briefing note for everyone added to meeting.

Please can anyone update us on the status of this request?

Plus one - this would address one of the features that I've been missing a lot when switching from Google.

This is a very important feature for me, too. I was surprised to see it missing after switching from Gmail!

This is a critical add for me, Google Calendar, iOS, etc have had this feature for at least 5 years, if not longer. When I sign up for a webinar, get a doctors visit email confirmation, etc. I shouldn't need to re-create that even in Proton, on click add to calendar is essential.

I agree and I support Russell's suggestion of a link to the original email. That would be especially handy when I get tickets sent to my inbox, I could then create the event from the message and when the calendar notification pops up at the start of the event, I can just click on it, then on the email link and display the tickets right away without having to search for anything.

when a calendar event is created from an email, automatically quote the email (or perhaps link to the original email/thread) in the event description.

Right now on the 'actions" drop-down you can print or export. It would be hel[pful to add another option "create calendar event" and the email content would be in the body of the calendar item.
