Set as default calendar on mobile
Android doesn't allow me to set the default Calendar app to Proton Calendar, only the stock Calendar or Outlook

Call me lazy, but having to type in every single detail is prone to mistakes, especially for autistic people and ADHD

I frequently use ChatGPT and ask it to create .vcs / .ics files for me, to easily create an series of events at various dates or when I copy & paste a calendar from a website.
As of today, it only allows to import files that contain a single event.
The other issue I have, it will straight away add the event to your calendar, without opening the "Create event" dialog first, so you could set any reminders or invite people etc.
Could you please improve the handling of calendar files on mobile?
As mentioned in different tickets:

Need this feature on iOS. It makes the calendar functionally useless if everything has to be manually entered because it cannot be set as the default app.

I am trying to switch to proton completely but I am stunned to find that this is not possible yet. What kind of workaround is there to add events to calendar from apps? Does anyone have a solution?

Please allow ics files to be opened with and imported to the Proton Mail app on iPhone/mobile devices. I very often receive meeting invitations with ics files and the only way I can import the attached ics file to my Proton calendar is to go to my desktop, download the ics file to my computer, and then drag it into Proton Calendar, and that’s assuming I’m near my desktop.

I use external devices which get their calendar data from my phone's default calendar. Proton Calendar not having any native Android calendar integration means that there's no way for me to get my calendar data to those devices unless I subscribe to it through a third-party app...which kind of defeats the purpose of using Proton in the first place.

There really needs to at least be a proposed workaround because when I add a trip from the public transport app, I can only choose my Google calendar and then it takes hours to refresh and appear on my Proton calendar. It also is super lame that I can't update these entries unless I go back to Google.

Same thing for the iOS app. Opening .ics files, at least from email attachments in Proton Mail, in the Proton Calendar app is a must.

The idea of a widget (first comment) seems like a very viable solution. Google is in control of Android's features, not Protonmail, and I don't see them allowing it since they are in direct competition.
I can sync other calendars to Proton using the 'enter URL' feature available on the webapp portal. I know that doesn't help ppl who want to completely leave Google behind.
