Delete addresses without deleting email
Allow to delete addresses without having to delete email.
I suspect the issue might be due to encryption, if so, can you not decrypt the deleted addresses' emails and then encrypt them with a different key say, the main email address.

My problem is email address for husband is incorrectly labeled with WIFE's name. Emails intended for husband keep going out to wife who must forward to get them to husband, who is intended recipient. A confusing nuisance. How can I update husband's email without erasing all emails sent to him through wife?

I have a MailPlus account with limited aliases. I created email aliases with my custom domain.
Some of aliases are targeted by spammers that I want to disgard them, but I can't because emails associated with the aliases.

This is absolutely critical. I actually already have emails in my mailbox imported from Gmail from addresses not in Protonmail .. so seems like the email address is not needed?
The reason for this is the addresses will get cluttered if we don't use addresses anymore. I have addresses that literally don't work anymore are defunct and I do not want to delete the messages. but we have to see every email address in there cluttering up the works?
Plus isn't there a limited amount of addresses? I think there is.

That would be great, especially since all address we can delete are from custom domains, and they don't offer unlimited address/alias from the custom domain, it would be a work around (not a great one) to be able to delete the address without having to delete the emails.
For @Anonymous, it is not possible to delete/remove proton address from an account for privacy/security reasons I suppose.
If you create anonymous@pm.me, and register it to any important site for you, then delete it, and I can create it, then I could get the emails from those important sites (like your bank etc). -

The best thing would be to be able to delete any address, custom domain or not, ourselves and without deleting emails.
If that is not possible, then it would be nice to do the same with a custom domain.
It would also reduce the number of tickets to the support.
