It depends on the definition of feature creep!

Basic usability features that are expected (and present in 99% of the competition) in the current services, should be added and developed properly!

Adding many low value services with poor badly implemented feature set should be avoided unless you are google and plan to kill the service within the year.

It's not affecting me (paid user), but if you allow 3 folders and 3 tags, then I can count a minimum of 7 filters
    - folder 1
    - folder 2
    - folder 3
    - tag 1
    - tag 2
    - tag 3
    - spam

Round it to 10 filters and it's actually giving out to the free users the chance to actually user the features, so they may want to switch to the pay version later!

I don't think that would be any good privacy/security practice. the more random the more secure.

The recovery phrase should be saved and backed up encrypted on an external drive for exemple (you can have your meaningful phrase to decrypt it) not connected to the internet and/or saved and backed on a secure and encrypted password manager (like bitwarden). It should not be anything you can remember from the top of your head, just like any passwords.

and having more than one copy is preferable...

Personally, having an affordable option to add a user to may account would be beneficial to get less tech closed family member to get away from less private services.

Something that would benefits individual/families without damaging the expensive business plan (for business).

Like linking a free account to a paid one, and have the option to share/give some of the paid options to the free account (few more GB, 1-2 address, 1-2 vpn connections etc)

    ---

But for a family (parents + kids) I think it is a must have, to be able to have something specific where the parents account can check and manage the kids accounts when needed.

It's called kids privacy and security 101.

A basic privacy and security thing to do would be to not give away any login credential information to anyone...

But of course if everytime we send an email (main address or not) we also send half of our login credential to the recipients, then something have failed in the whole idea to create a private and secure service!

There is already monthly payment option for proton services, you can choose to pay per month, per 12 months or per 24 months.

if you pay (commit) on a longer time frame, you get a discounted price.

Proton unlimited is 11.99€ per month if you pay per month. 120€ per 12 month or 192€ per 24 months.

They can't give you the the 24 month price to pay monthly as it would mean you can block/stop the payment at any time without respecting your commitment.

That would be nice, the current limited workaround is to have multiple calendars.

it is limited as it require a paid account, and is limited to 20 calendars.

While it would be easier to have a calendar per projects (or personal, work, family etc) and colors depending on the event type (tasks, birthday, meeting, deadline etc...)
Or for students, a color per class.

I would love tasks (as an addition to events in the calendar)

For recurring checks for example (renewing a subscription), to be able to mark it as done (and remove notification).

A todo list would also be welcome.

If done properly / securely (due to encryption etc), an API would allow Proton Drive to actually be useful as it would open integrations with so many tools (open office, syncing, backup, Joplin/Obsidian, Nextcloud, n8n, etc...)
It wouldn't require to modify files on the drive, but to download a local copy, unencrypt it, modify it, encrypt it and reupload it.
