Yearly View
Personally it’s easier to navigate through months with a yearly view. For example if I have a trip planned in May 2025, I need to scroll through 14 months to view the details of the event I made.

I'd love a yearly view! Let me view my calendar in any way I want. Daily, weekly, hourly, quarterly, semester view, full year. Please!

A "go to date/month" button would be useful, similar to the DigiCal app. It would make it easier to navigate and reach a day that is even a few years away.

Picking up a year then a month in a small popup is more convenient. An full-page year view would be not readable.

probably a drop down menu for year & month would make most sense

Exactly as Hobbes Underscore wrote. When ever you need to see future or past dates, you have to scroll through months.
A yearly view gives you a clear and complete view on one screen. -

Definitely an important one for me, too. I've just migrated my MS Exchange account to Proton and this is a glaring issue. I do need to plan months ahead

I add to this, though I believe half a year is a more useful timeframe. See separate suggestion.

Year-view of the calendar would be a helpful tool to make longer-term planning of your activities.
As someone who uses electronic calendar for long-term planning (1 year in advance), I want to see all 365(366) days of a year, each day represented as a box within a corresponding month. This view allows me to see the important birth dates, anniversaries, events, public holidays, so that I can plan less important activities around the important ones - this view clearly shows the time-slots that I could use for various activities, trips, vacations etc.
