Get rid if app tracking
According to my app tracking protection,the Proton mail app is sending tracking information to Adobe. Being a privacy centric company, I am assuming this issue slipped through the cracks during android app development.
I can't possibly be the first person who noticed this.
Is proton willingly allowing third parties to collect my personal information from my Android phone? Is Proton aware of these third-party trackers? Do I need to delete the app and switch to accessing Proton mail only via the web app?
I sent an email to support about this issue. After a second email explaining exactly what an app tracker is, the support rep continued to tell me email tracker protection was coming. I'm hoping this forum can shed some light on this issue for me.

I was shocked to find out that the Proton Mail app on my Android device was being tracked. For everyday users app tracking can be just as bad as email tracking. Please find a way to remove these trackers (Adobe for me) or even integrate app tracking protection into Proton VPN.

App Tracking Prevention
DuckDuckGo has this great feature where it essentially runs a VPN but it blocks traffic from devices from being sent out. So, when a data tracking engines (e.g., Google, Adobe, Amplitude, Branch Metrics) attempt to send personal data from your device DuckDuckGo blocks it.If Proton incorporated the same concept into the VPN then it would be an even more effective product! There is another thread called App Tracking Prevention and vote it up.
Simultanious app tracking protection on android to stop internal tracking, plus vpn for external seems a no brainer.
