Proton Duo with shared email inbox
It would be nice if the members of a Duo had a shared email address and inbox. Most couples need at times to communicate jointly together as a couple, either socially or for household business.
It would be even better if a Duo also included a full joint account with all features so that there is equality in the way information is shared and used.

It's funny, that there are two similar ideas posted for shared mailboxes, but this one mentions private use and has more votes than the one mentioning business use.
It is a nice to have for private use, but really (and this should be the killer argument for Proton to implement it right away), every business I have ever worked with and have been involved in, uses shared mailboxes. How Proton is thinking it cansuccessfully sell to businesses (of all sizes!) without this feature is beyond me.
I would like this for family/duo, but I need this to migrate my businesses....
It is sad to see that the Proton team does not even reply to these two ideas (and has not done so for over a year). The original idea here on user voice for shared mailboxes in the business context is from 2018! Let that sink in. We have a crypto wallet (and heaps of other developments), but since 2018 Proton has not been able to implement a must have feature for business use. This prioritisation makes me question how soundly Proton is being run or if it is even serious about attracting real businesses. We could live with many drawbacks (compared to Exchange), but shared mailboxes is the one feature we need as a business.

Baffled this isn't already included in Duo & Family plans. Let's get on it Proton Team!

Missing this basic functionality in Duo - where my wife and I have to forward to and fro our mailboxes - is a main reason for me not to promote Proton to collegues and friends. This basic functionality HAS to be implemented immidiately - instead of proton using efforts to develop systems like sheets where fully functioning open source alternatives already exist.

Have started a proton-trial for both personal and business use. One of the largest drawbacks at the moment for both cases is the missing shared inbox.
Absolutely necessary for my business use and almost as necessary also for personal use. -

This is critical for my husband and myself as well. My husband and I have the family plan, and sometimes we need joint access to emails.

A must have for sharing with an S/O. Even outside the home, it's shocking that 'Proton for Business' exists, though this functionality isn't implemented?

Absolutely crazy that this isn't already a feature of Duo and Family plans.

This one issue is preventing us from signing up for duo. An actual shared email account is what we need to have complete safety in the event of a tragedy where one of us would become incapacitated.

There's the other thread. It's such a disappointment that Proton doesn't even acknowledge this idea. The account I share with my wife is still a free one, and there is no way I can convince her to leave google if our shared account has to remain a free one.

We need this feature! This allows families or business users to share a common email inbox without having to share login information (which is not secure)

would be a improvment to share one Mailadress with my partner.

I am aware that email forwarding exists, and that's not what we need. We need to be able to have shared access to a single family email address, with the ability for the both of us to send and receive. If just receiving were enough, I wouldn't have purchased Duo in the first place. My spouse can't send any emails from the family email that's under my account and it seems ridiculous for something we're paying so much money for.

Assumed this would be possible and signed up for Duo, only to learn later that it is not. If one carefully studies the Proton website it is indeed not mentioned, but a normal quick reading suggested that all functions can be shared. Hence, not.
We need this function for all household mails with, for example, suppliers.
It should be possible to implement this function as it is included in Business accounts. If it will not be included we will look for another emailservice. There is another voting for "Shared Inbox" with 444 votes. These should be added to the votes for this request.
I also wonder if anybody of Proton is reading this. Would like to know if all these votes make any impact and if there is a time path for implementing this function. If not, then we know we have to move elsewhere. Please Proton, respond honestly.

I just forward emails sent to a given account to my wife.
The default action of a forward is to keep a copy in your own inbox.
This works with accounts outside Proton as well. -

Just migrated across and this is a key missing feature.
A shared mailbox with calendar, only work around is creating another email address but that obviously uses a license.

Oui, cela serait vraiment nécessaire pour un compte payant duo.
