Add imap accounts from other providers to the desktop and mobile mail app
I would like to be able to add IMAP accounts for other providers to the mobile and desktop mail apps. I have a few email accounts (student, work) that aren't proton mail, and it is annoying to have to use separate mail apps.

I understand not being able to load Proton into outside apps without the bridge, but admitting I am ignorant, don't know why Proton won't allow their mail app to pull in outside accounts. Most people who use Proton must be somewhat tech savvy, which means they probably have multiple accounts. Like another poster mentioned, it is probably a reason Proton would miss out on more business, if users have to use multiple email email applications. My wife already refuses to use her Proton email address for this reason and has switched to using just her gmail account.

Big support. Having to use multiple clients puts me off Proton Mail

For me, desktop and mobile applications are part of the offering, and I naively imagined that I could connect my work addresses (incoming AND outgoing) in addition to my Proton addresses, to use a single client on both desktop and mobile. I understand that Proton doesn't want its applications to be used without a Proton account, and I would be perfectly fine with the ability to add external addresses being reserved for paying users.
My wife had the same reaction: "(for heaven's sake) how many apps do I have to use now that we have a Proton account?"
This is important because Proton's applications are really great, and I would like them to be the only ones I use (without going through the bridge, implying the use of not-so-good other applications).
