I am on the duo plan and would love to switch my custom domain(s) to Proton Mail. But as of right now, some very basic features are missing which prevents me from making the switch.

I have one mail alias per user account (which are quite a lot). And sometimes you also need to send from that address to contact support or reply to a verifcation mail or whatever. As of right now, there is no easy way to achieve this with Proton Mail.

IMHO, having the ability to freely set the local part of a FROM-address when using custom domains, is an essential feature. Since it is a custom domain, there is no concern about impersonating someone or any other other security concerns since the domain is not a shared one (like pm.me).

And from an implemenation pov: There really shouldn't be that much effort necessary. ;-)

Last but not least, Simple Login, as nice as it is, really is no solution for this. Migrating hunderts of aliases to SL would be a herculian task and handling those aliases unnecessarly cumbersome. And, again, since it is a custom domain, it really shouldn't be necessary in the first place. Also, there is the issue of using the very same custom domain on both PM and SL which currently will not work.

I hope this gets some attention and upvotes.
