Canary mail client also does this well. I used it regularly to track upcoming reservations, or online purchases that have yet to be delivered. I would love to be able to pin important messages in the Proton mail client!

If I could give this more votes I would. It's an essential element to the modern Outlook experience and day to day interaction with an email client. Please implement this feature to help the transition from other email clients! Simply a pin icon next to each email and it it at the top of the inbox until unpinned.

This is not even that hard to do and it's such a helpful feature. I wish I understood more about how ProtonMail prioritized features.

Surprised this is missing from protonmail!! It's been 9 years since this request first posted, so not much hope that this is seen by anyone who can affect change.

This would be a massive help. It's the only thing I miss.

Having important emails show up at the top of my screen would be extremely helpful to my ability to organize and make sure I get to the important ones. I've used this feature extensively with MS Outlook and it has been a lifesaver!

This would be a great addition. In terms of design, different layout that ordinary email. For example, in the same panel as other emails, but two columns view. Just like how we pin tabs in browsers, it gets pinned and width of tab is very small. Something like that. hey.com has some great UX ideas in their email client.

A pin to the top option would be incredibly useful!

Both Outlook (through its pining feature) and GMail (with its priority inbox) allow users to have important messages "pinned" on top of the inbox.
This is a very useful feature to mark emails that need attention through a first quick pass before addressing them one by one without missing anything.

In ProtonMail, what I would like to see is an aggregation of starred messages at the top of the Inbox, i.e., as soon as I mark a message as "starred", it should be listed at the top along with other (non-archived) starred messages before regular messages. Once a starred message is archived, it should not be listed in the inbox anymore.

Even better, having that same feature (possibly as a feature that can be enabled/disabled) apply to other folders (archive, sent messages) would be awesome.

Arguably, starred conversations are the most important ones in our mailboxes, and having a way to quickly and conveniently access them is key to improve usability. Having this feature consistently implemented across all folders in ProtonMail would make it stand out from the competition in that regard.

Pls, we need this feature to Pin Emails to the top. Idealy when hovering over an Email on the right side would be a pin option

Please offer a subtle option in the interface to pin an email to the top of the inbox or respective folder. I find this is very useful in the desktop version of Outlook and really helps my workflow when distinguishing between subjects of a permanent topic versus transitory/one off conversations.
