Support UnifiedPush for android notifications
I don't have google services on my phone and having every app permanently connected checking for new messages is detrimental to battery life. UnifiedPush is the open alternative to Google Cloud Messaging: https://unifiedpush.org

Sync labels between Proton Mail and SimpleLogin
I find it difficult to organize emails from a SL alias. I do not know if this is feasible but if I could choose to add Proton Labels in the SimpleLogin UI to the alias that show up in Proton mail, then I could use a filter to move/mark emails.
Currently, I have to manually open the filter and add the new alias to perform any moves/marking of the email, and this is a repetitive task. If SL added labels to the email, then it would reduce the manual labor/upkeep.

Protect emails (prevent from being deleted when selecting all)
Sometimes we want to keep certain emails in our inbox as a reminder that we need to work on them. However, we may accidentally delete them when using the "select all" option to delete other emails. To prevent this, I would like to have the ability to "lock" specific emails, so they are not deleted when using the "select all" option. Although folders exist, we may forget to check them, so the "lock" feature would be very useful.

Allow to use Bridge CLI in SMTP-only mode
Currently, Bridge seems to be caching the whole inbox when connected to an account. This makes it inefficient as a SMTP server (too much storage is used). SMTP-only would be enough for a notification service, e.g. on a NAS.
It would be great to have an option to disable email fetching (IMAP) for this use case and provide just the SMTP server. This idea could be probably realized in a form of option switch for the login command of the Bridge CLI.

Allow us to search our existing aliases when sending an email out
Right now, if you have a huge amount of aliases for different reasons, you cannot search them to find the one you're after. I have one that I use for sending emails for my accounting side business, one for all house related things, one for all family related things, etc. Many many aliases/addresses. Please let us search for those!

Disable sound notifications on Android
Atm it's impossible to turn off the sound notifications for the android app. It's either get all notifications including sound, or turn off everything. This is super annoying, my phone keeps beeping with every new email, I don't need that kind of distraction and it's disturbing everyone around me!

Make Proton Mail a general client for O365/M365, IMAP etc
Being able to switch to a single email/calendar client on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS would be a huge help for me making Proton my primary tool (and encourage me to switch the family).
at the moment having to check at least two mail clients on any of the platforms I use, so consolidating so I don't need to use Outlook (Windows and macOS), 9folders (android), mail/calendar/contacts (iOS) would be amazing

Resizable left pane
Can we please have a sizeable left pane in the mail web and desktop app. It's very frustrating not being able to read long folder names.
This would enhance the experience and make it a lot easier to manage emails. There is already a sizeable pane for the email message itself, so hopefully this could be incorporated quite easily.
I would greatly appreciate this.
Thank you.

New field to store passwords for protected emails
PROBLEM:
When sending “Encrypted Emails to Non-Proton Recipients” … it is cumbersome to have to “manually manage” the “Shared Secrets / Passwords” for each recipient … in particular if you are communicating with multiple recipients repeatedly.FEATURE REQUEST:
Add an additional field in “ProtonPass” for documenting email recipients and their shared secret for encrypted communications within ProtonMail. You could integrate ProtonPass with ProtonMail such that it detects that you are sending an encrypted email to a Non-ProtonMail recipient … and prompts you to save the recipient and the shared secret in ProtonPass for future subsequent communications with the same recipient.…2 votes -
Using physical security keys
You sent me an email this morning about passkeys. Well, what about physical security keys? I bought two of them last week from Amazon. I got them to work with iCloud. I'd like them to work with Proton Mail, too.

Change zoom in desktop app
In the browser for Proton Mail I prefer to use a 90% view size to see everything better, as well as in Proton Calendar, where I use e.g. a 70% view to see more events and more text that would otherwise be hidden.

Whitelist only option
The option to auto block/trash/spam all emails except the whitelist.
It's a spam/phishing-proof email setup (new product category?).
I do this with the sieve filters already, but there's not a convenient, quick UI to whitelist emails or do it in bulk.
Email aliases are great. Except I have to keep creating and deleting them which itself gets very tedious. Especially when the auto-fill option of a signup field doesn't pop up.

Local storage for desktop app
Having the ability to also store messages locally in folders using a standard file format would be helpful. As a current Mozilla Thunderbird user, I store messages both on the Proton servers and locally for archive purposes. Being able to create folders in either locations with simple transferring between them would bring me much closer to no longer needing Thunderbird.

full screen desktop app
This is a pretty small one, but I would just love for the Desktop Mail app, to at least remember its "size" when closed and open the same way, I normally have it maximized, but it never opens maximized, it opens almost full screen, but I always have to press the maximize button everytime I open it up :) its a small thing, but it always annoysme :D
