Undo/redo writing in mail

One of my most frustrating issues is when, with a stroke of the keyboard or a slight movement of the mouse, something triggers the loss of a paragraph or even the entire email and there is no way to get it back! I have to write the entire text over again; sometimes, when I am deeply concentrated upon a response to someone and have written them something clinically meaningful for their case, some or all of the text disappears due to my having done something, and once it is gone, rewriting it is not always allowing me to express myself in the same manner. It has gotten to the point where (if very important and precise), I have taken to writing the text on Word, and then copy/pasting it onto the Proton email I want to send so as to avoid the possibility that it will all disappear. It's not Proton's issue that I manage to delete something from the email, however unintentionally, but a simple undo/redo button would mean a lot of time will go unwasted and without frustration.

That was a feature that in my class on visual basic we added to the editors we created one night. Seems like a simple thing that everybody else already offers.

Please add an undo button to the message compose interface.. Seems like a basic feature to have.

It's May 2022, this still isn't a thing. Why isn't this a thing?

Still not solved guys. If this were solved I would buy the plus option - oh wait, I did ;-)
Out of interest how is it that the right click "undo" doesn´t undo? Where´s the programming issue, maybe I can write some code to solve it.

the undo function does not seem to work at all.
It would be good if there would be undo and redo buttons -

I am a fan of Protonmail, also because of the simple handling. But it lacks something very simple and actually indispensable for any mail program. I miss it every time I accidentally delete a word or a whole paragraph while writing an email: That you can undo it! (A simple reverse arrow). Why is that not there? Who feels the same way? Please implement it, thank you :)

Yes, I would appreciate an "undo delete" function, too.

Does Protonmail have an undo text feature? I don't think so. If I inadvertently delete a piece of text I cannot recall it. I have searched for this function and cannot find it. It's important for those of us who frequently mess up.

There are many reasons to have the ability to click and undo key strokes. Seems this would be a simple addition.

This is an absolutely essential function needed as standard. Most people type and review before sending. So much time is wasted having to retype a section you may have accidently deleted when touch typing which could easily be resolved with an undo option. Please add this in asap.

did you they ever create an undo feature, I have just lost half the script I was writing?

Please oh please give me an undo button! Sometimes my fingers get faster than my brain. I suspect I'm not the only one.

Ditto! We need an undo button. CTRL Y doesn't work, either.

In composing an e-mail in a web browser, an undo/redo feature would be valuable indeed. In addition to being an expected feature, this feature also fills a compelling need. No writer who pays attention to what is being written fails to experience with some frequency a desire to correct or restate a phrase that has been entered. An undo/redo feature facilitates the more rapid correction and entry of text.

When composing mail, I would like to see an UNDO button

I erroneously deleted part of a message by partial selection and hitting the space tab. an UNDO button would have helped.
