Forwarding email from Proton Mail
It would be great if we had the option to forward email to other email providers. services.

Thanks to your feedback, you can now automatically forward emails sent to your Proton Mail account to any email address: https://proton.me/support/email-forwarding
Email forwarding is available for everyone with a paid Proton Mail plan.

This keeps coming up for me again and again... is this something ProtonMail will _ever_ do? If not, I suppose I must start looking for other email providers.

I think this is another duplicated request of:
Auto forward
I would like the ability to set an auto forward to another email account. Encrypted or unencrypted, at least give us the option110

This is a request that many others also have: to be able to forward emails from a proton email inbox to another email address, proton or other. Thank you.

This can be done through Sieve, so it's really just a matter of decision and integration...

I like ProtonMail but moving to it for my primary address would be a dead end since I'd never be able to forward mail to some newer better service at some time in the future (unlikely though that may be of course).

Please, please please add this. It's such a glaring omission.

It would be very much appreciated.

I agree with these other posters. We recently set up a business account with protonmail, but we need the feature of being able to forward some routine mail to various staff.
This is a serious weakness to not have a filter with forwarding.

Everyone is talking about security and all this stuff. If one agree to implications what forwarding brings with it then why not offer this feature? Yes security but i am here to support the community i dont care much about security.. But i care about being able to forward support emails to zendesk so they ticket them. This is business essential. Not being able to work with zendesk is major drawback.

Obviously we should have, at the very least, the ability to forward between protonmail accounts and domains we control. I think there should also be the option to forward to external accounts as well.

It seems to be a high rated wish of the pm users, to use a automatically forwarding. Please build this feature. Thanks.

This prevents me from moving a whole domain to Protonmail, as some of the aliases under that domain currently are forwarded to other places. Basically I need a way to control whether the alias is a mailbox or it should be forwarded to some other address.

I 100% absolutely agree. This is a must-have feature.

Agreed with last poster. I want to move a family domian to Protonmail, but have elderly family members who won't be able to use it as too complex. But without a way to forward an address, I can't move the domain without forcing them to change their email addresses.

I have a paid for domain hosted email already, but I have other email domains which I can't move because of the webmail / complicated bridge system which my elderly parents refuse to use.
This issue is preventing me from moving some of my domains to protonmail - you're losing business and subscription fees because I can't forward some emails which do not require high security on to gmail, etc. Add the service and I will add more domains / users to my account.

Please do support automated forwarding. I understand the emails are encrypted but doing this client side when logged in would be enough:

"The idea of "Forwarding mail from protonmail" to other services is a bad idea because the goal of protonmail is to avoid being read by the provider.
On the contrary the idea of "Mail Forwarding between ProtonMail Accounts" is a great one."
I need to forward a subset of my emails. Shall I have use another email account for this? Or should I stop paying protonmail and have one free gmail account again?
This isn't pond, richochet, utox. You can use those and have much better anonymity. I find the lack of email forwarding to be a deal breaking. It's extremely fustrating and so I find your comment to be extremely frustrating.
I do not regret paying for protonmail a year ahead as it is a great step forward but the lack of this feature is killing my productivity.

I understand that this would 'compromise' the users privacy on the emails forwarded to non-protonmail accounts but I am not using protonmail to achieve perfect privacy. I am using it for email. Otherwise, I would be using pond or ricochet or some other non-practical alternative.
I find the lack of this basic feature is extremely frustrating.

Single most important missing feature. Especially for users with custom domains.
