I was pretty surprised when I realized that this feature is not implemented. It's pretty basic to have option to forward or redirect emails based on the conditions.

It's just a basic requirement for work email. Please add. Or, I'll get back to you later. Maybe...

I would indeed love to see this feature, I believe there are options to keep the encryption/security/privacy AND the option to forward it?

This is such a basic need. Please implement.

Currently this is at 464 before it gets my max votes!

In my case, I have a joint GMail account for both myself and my wife that we use for doctors appointments and joint financial matters. I have messages set to forward to me from that account and automatically apply a label, but I would like to then forward from my account to her email so she also has a copy. I want the forward to come from me so she knows it's legitimate.

This is a SUPER important function that will ultimately force me to leave Proton and use another service if they have this function. I don't understand why you haven't developed such a basic function into your service after so many years. It is time to do some work and get updated so people can really use your service. If you don't, someone else will and you will lose your business before you know what hit you.

As a relatively new user, experimenting with the free account in an attempt to get away from that privacy invading monster Google, I'm saddened to see that there's no email forwarding that can be set up to occur automatically via a filter or the more advanced Sieve filter. That seems like a basic feature in most online email systems, and I'd love to see it implemented in ProtonMail. Without it, I'm unlikely to ever upgrade beyond the Free plan.

Filter-based autoanything, including forwarding, i.e. if X then forward to xyz@protonmail.com is an essential basic feature that should be high on your development list

Unless I don't understand auto-responder (sending email to the receiving email) , this is not what this request asks for.

It could be defined as a rule or filter

An Idea: If a mail belongs to a defined category or is from a specific sender, add an option to auto forward it to another e-mail address

please add autoforwarding functions. Maybe a good solution is to have a folder autoforward.

i.e. add email to a specific folder and it triggers an auto forward to certain email addresses.

For the love of Pete, please implement this feature. I can't move from Gsuite until this is in place. We integrate with Zendesk and need to be able to forward emails from ProtonMail from our support mailboxes to those special Zendesk email addresses, but can't do this with ProtonMail. Seems the only solution we have currently is to have Apple Mail running on a dedicated server with mail rules forwarding the email.... YUK!!!

Oof, yeah I'm a paid user but this will hold me back from moving anything else onto protonmail. I just assumed this feature existed & was surprised to find it missing. I only occasionally need this but those times I do need it it's critical. In particular I use this to forward emails to an SMS gateway (to send me a text) for when I'm awaiting really time-sensitive messages I want to make sure I don't miss.

Missing this feature will eventually push me to cancel my paid account & move elsewhere.

I'm sure there are sieve packages that support this - please include them!
