Select all emails and perform bulk actions
It’s taking me 30 mins a day to delete 100-200 emails this is time consuming and damn right idiotic that the feature isn’t here already
To vote for 'select all' from search results, vote here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/46566259
Hey everyone,
Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the Proton Mail web app.
To get started, select all messages on a page. You'll see the option to select all messages in the location (e.g. Inbox) you're in. Then, simply apply actions in bulk, making it easier to manage your inbox.
Thank you for your feedback!

Still a problem in May 2021. Please give us an easy way to mass delete trash messages.

+1: please sort this out as it's important for people transferring their emails from one client to another.

Adding a vote! I can't believe this post is from 2017, if I knew I can't do "Select all" I'm not sure I even move to Proton. this is just sad, it's such a basic feature

Adding a vote for this - I admit, I sent an email to support asking how to do it after I couldn't see the function in the GUI. The fact that it might not exist did not even occur to me, because it is such a basic function!
Bulk actions like this a definitely not a strange or unusual way of using email. Everyone has their own workflow. Just because not everyone might not work this way does not make it unusual for others to do so.

Yes, I'm importing all of my emails from 16 years of heavy email use, and I'm trying to prune out the detritus.

This would be a nice feature for not just deleting email but moving emails to folders, etc...Does anyone ever hear back from ProtonMail here?

Please provide a way to mass delete all conversations or mail that you have deleted from your inbox that are sitting in trash. The system seems to limit you to 50 at a time. Thanks

Can we please have the option to "Select All" within a folder / label to delete ALL the contents? Currently the maximum is set to 50. This can take too long when you have imported 1000s of emails from an old account.
Also to delete an import that was done by mistake should also be available.

Allow me to filter all emails, then select all that meet the filter and then delete all of them. Deleting only what shows on the screen makes it difficult to delete a lot of messages at one time. GMAIL allows you to "select all that meet search criteria" and them perform an action on them, such as move, delete, label, etc.

Come on we really need this - I'm a new, paying customer and I cannot delete old unread emails to free-up space

Not being able to bulk delete is a major drag... I'm about to bail on this and call it a failed experiment. You delete messages from your inbox and then you have to go and delete them again in your Trash folder (50 at a time). I moved 20 years of emails over and ran out of space before it was complete. Protonmail's limited function set is a big disappointment. I can't even delete messages locally in Mac Mail and have them deleted at the server level. ...At my wits end. I'm on a paid account. I paid for a year up front. Major drag.
