Select all emails and perform bulk actions
It’s taking me 30 mins a day to delete 100-200 emails this is time consuming and damn right idiotic that the feature isn’t here already

Hey everyone,
Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the Proton Mail web app.
To get started, select all messages on a page. You'll see the option to select all messages in the location (e.g. Inbox) you're in. Then, simply apply actions in bulk, making it easier to manage your inbox.
Thank you for your feedback!

I want to select "unsubscribe" from all emails in my inbox. The select all function gives me only 50 from the presented page. How do I delete the entire set I wish to delete?

I still cannot see it. Only 50 messages selected. No any option to select all filtered / all in folder. :/

Thanks for the feedback everyone, to select everything in a folder, tap 'select all' first and then the option will appear.

Yeah, this isn't working the way I envisioned it. I want to select all emails in a folder on all pages. If I've got 1000 emails in a folder, and I want to archive or delete them, I don't want to go to each individual page to do it, I want to "select all in folder" or "select all Read in folder" and then apply bulk actions.

Not to nit pick but the ask was to select all "FROM SEARCH" to bulk action on, not just ones that have been labeled.

Still not working. I select the folder "All Mail", and try to apply the feature there by selecting 50 items first, attempting to delete them, and then clicking on the pop-up that says "50 messages moved to Trash - Move all messages from this folder". The response I get is "Messages cannot be moved from that folder".
The purpose of this feature should be to prevent users from exhausting their storage with old emails (having to pay unfair additional fees) and ensuring that they can protect their privacy by deleting emails from the cloud storage. What good is it if it cannot be applied on the "All Mail" tab???

That is not particularly helpful unless I can first sort them by sender. I can't understand why having this sort feature has not been a top priority. It has been requested many times by many people for some years. Not having sorting by sender is the main reason I have not switched fully to Proton and the main reason why in box has so many emails in it. I guess storage space on proton servers is too cheap for that to be a problem for Proton..

This is sooooooo needed! I just imported over 50K emails as part of my migration to Proton Mail and now have to go 50 at a time to remove the label that was added during the migration!? Beyond this migration I just don't see how you don't already have this. I would make this a #1 priority!

This appears to have been added; however, it fails when messages are not sorted into a folder other than the Inbox, such as from a Search result.

Over 1300 votes for this feature. How many more are needed to get this implemented? It looks like it has been marked "planned" for 5 months. Clearly people want it.

Yes please. The 50 messages at a time is a dumb limit.

I can't believe there is no way to mark messages as Read or Unread in bulk. I was hositalized for a month and now have 3200 unread emails! Am I supposed to go thru though 50 at a time to mark them as Read?? Even Yahoo Mail has this functionality.

A basic feature that is really needed.

When searching for something that displays large number of emails, it is handy to have a button/option to be able to "Select ALL matching criteria on every email", not just the first 50.
Example; Trying to delete a bunch of similar emails, searching by subject and want to SELECT ALL emails to be able to delete them all at once, instead of going 50 at a time.
If there's a lot of emails, this can be a huge timesaver.

I'm interested in this feature on ProtonMail phone app too, and it should allow to select emails based on provided pattern. Then, we can apply a certain action on them, e.g. move or delete selected emails.

Any email app worth its salt should be able to quickly select all emails in inbox and “mark all as READ”

This really is annoying. Having to go to each email does waste a lot of time. And it's also one of the reasons I haven't been able to switch to protonmail as a primary account. I love the privacy, but it needs to catch up quite a bit to really be useful. I'm holding out hope though!!

As stated by dtov on October 19, 2022 4:02 PM below, the feature is here (three dots in the upper right corner).
However, it's still missing a feature to select all messages to be able to label them at oince, for instance:

I've actually started not even using my proton account (paid) because one day thousands of my emails decided to show up as unread and I can only mark 50 emails at a time as unread.
If this isn't fixed by next billing cycle I'm just going to cancel my paid account. I really don't have time to be wasting with this stuff -

It's such an obvious feature to include. Don't bother switching your email from Google etc until you do unless you like '000s of unread emails
