Desktop app (and sync other mailboxes)
A proton mail client protonmail that combine all the features and design from the proton web UI and allows the user to synchronise other mailboxes.

I disagree. I'd rather have the Proton devs sped their time on the security and services and not re-inventing another email client. The bridge, like anything else in life, has a bit of a learning curve and works quite well with Thunderbird.
It would be interesting to have the bridge integrated into one of the many fine email clients, in the way Enigmail plugin was and now OpenPGP is integrated into Thunderbird.

Its would also allow for the protonmail to be set as the default mail!!

A long-time user of tools like Thunderbird, Eudora Lite, etc., the bridge works great to secure my email as I move it in bulk from providers such as Gmail and Google Workspace. Forwarding a few hundred or thousand emails to ProtonMail is a pain, but the Proton Bridge works great. If a desktop app were to be developed, it would have to support other email providers. Learning to implement the Bridge isn't that difficult if you know how to configure your email client for email these days...sheesh, figuring out IMAP ports, SMTP, can be a pain in itself. ProtonBridge makes it work quite well. -An Everyday user of ProtonBridge

I also got a lot of benefits from your mail and there should be dedicated app for desktop too, So i can offer directly to my ecage website for newsletter : https://esoftcage.com/

I do not support this idea. The current website is fantastic and I would love to see further improvements to that. Adding the overhead of developing a dedicated desktop app would take away resources from other efforts. Plus, the bridge allows the use of existing desktop mail apps.

What type of app are you looking for? There are thousands of websites just like as https://treeplantation.com that we can use for our personal use.

Even if this was done as a true PWA in downloadable format that didn't rely on a browser (with shared history and cookies) this would be a great step.

Maybe this is old, or not exactly what you want, but here's what I did. Launch ProtonMail in Chrome. Click the three hamburger dots in the upper right corner, then hover over "More Tools" and then click "Create Shortcut". In the box that pops up, rename the shortcut if you want, MAKE SURE the "Open in Window" box is checked, the click "Create". This puts a shortcut on your desktop that will open ProtonMail in a "browserless" window that looks and acts more like a desktop app.

I would also welcome a dedicated email client with full search and ENCRYPTED storage by default. Lots of people just use Bridge on unencrypted drives. At this point is kind of pointless to have encrypted email if anybody gets their hand on their PC. Sure, we can argue that this is user problem but it definitely introduces unnecessary security risk in otherwise secure product. Linux client is a preference in my case. :)

And please please don't just make it an Electron port of the web app with a few extra features, please make it run natively (Qt, Flutter, etc)

I read that Proton was creating a ProtonMail app. If this is so, how about giving it a feature to block pixel trackers. If you would do this I would gladly use it.

OMG, someone had the same idea I did. I hate using Android and IOS Apps for everything so it would be refreshing to see Desktop App or Program for ProtonMail and would extremely convenient for almost all Protonmail Users. This is one feature that needs added badly.

I would like to downvote this feature. It would be a huge amount of work and it'll never have all the features that everyone wants in a mail client. Protonmail should instead make the bridge free for all users so everyone can use their already developed mail clients that already have the mail features they need.
