Create subfolders within folders

How create a subfolder (comment créer un sous-dossier ?)

Firstly, the fact that Protonmail exists is just wonderful. This sort of privacy should be the norm. Thank you so much for trying to hold back the tide for us. Having said that, to improve, subfolders would be brilliant. I'm new to Labels but I can see how useful they can be so I've adapted somewhat to using them. However, if you didn't use Gmail and come from a background of using Hotmail or whatever they call it now, its hard to lose something as useful as subfolders. If you just had folders and labels, you could end up with a very long list of things in your sidebar. Collapsing labels would be useful too. But again thank you creating protonmail, keep up the great work.

As a few others are suggesting, it would be most useful to organise email trails into folders and nested subfolders eg in Airmail app for MacOSX. The biggest advantage of ProtonMail is end to end encryption.
Please try to implement this in your next upgrade.

I agree. Also I need to have this function.

Please allow the creation of subfolders to organize the inbox more clearly. Tags are useless for me, but subfolders would be a huge advantage to keep the inbox clean.
Thanks!! -

This is a duplicate of https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/10929603-nested-labels and https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/32773126-nested-folders but, yes, I agree.

Please add actual Subfolders as a substitute to the tags system
It would be great to see the ability to add trees of subfolders for users who are not used to the tagging system. I've seen this request crop up before and having been closed due to the tags update.

Yes, without the ability to create subfolders I simply can't switch to Protonmail. Even just one more level would be fine for me..
- Folder 1
-- Subfolder 1This is currently the main things stopping me from switching properly and getting a paid plan.

Okay, you've added folders, but only one level. This cannot be considered a top tier email platform for anyone in business until and unless it has the ability for sub-folders (nested). As someone who routinely has thousands of emails in a month, and the need to preserve these emails for regulatory purposes, it's an absolute must to organize them appropriately.
Labels/Tags/Single-layer folders are useless and a poor imitation of GMAIL and YAHOO. I want ProtonMail to be superior to those other platforms. More like Exchange/Outlook, without the MSFT bugs.

I need it too. I don't understand how to use label and folder together to make things like gmail. More over, using Protonmail Bridge to use protonmail with thunderbird, it's impossible to mix label and folder as long as labels just appear like folders...
I think a really implementation of folder tree is necessary. -

This idea is not new, several requests mention it, but they mix several requests or title does not mention it.
After reading all comments, I think many users really need this feature, but votes are splitted on several not really targeted requests.
So I created this request to try to gather all votes. -

Folders are now available: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/16535209-being-able-to-create-custom-folders. Regarding sub-folders: right now this seems to be the one with the most votes and also marked as planned: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/7849656-labels-are-great-but . I suggest everyone move their votes to that one instead.
