Split address mode - separate emails into different inboxes
Separate email addresses are for separate things so it would be helpful to just click an email address from the menu and see only those emails sent to that specific ProtonMail address.
Multiple inboxes.
We are reviewing this idea to get closer to a clean inbox for all our users. We will let you know once we have more updates

I just moved my personal domain to proton to make it secure, and I'd love to be able to manage those separate emails separately. Right now it's all one big mess.

Example usecase:
My wife and I have a duo account, we would like to have each our own email, and a common one for our administrative things. -

I agree. Or give an option to the user to automatically create a rule and folder when they create the email alias - no matter if the email alias is an additional address, plus alias, or a hide-my-email-alias. Or when they read an email, they hover over the To field of the email alias and right-click and a pop up menu item for Create rule and folder for this email alias.

I've thought about buying Proton Unlimited several times, but have always refrained from doing so because this important feature, which should be standard, is not available

Separate inboxes for different addresses is the number 1 feature I am looking for from Proton Mail right now. I have set up folders and filters but there are several disadvantages to doing it this way. I'd like to be able to completely separate my different online identities without having to sign up for two accounts. Thank you!

Ok, just thinking to take professional account but if I can't separate pro and personal mail, it's a no go.

Please prioritize this. This and no shortcut for snoozing is keeping me from using the MacOS proton Mail app and instead using the bridge with Spark Mail.

In 2024 this is an essential feature. I’m a Proton Unlimited subscriber, but I’m not going to buy another proton account just to split my mail.

Yeah this is super frustrating on mobile. I'm moving away from Workspace but I have a separate business account for a reason! Now everything is pouring into my personal inbox and I get a notification for each one. Really disappointed this isn't already fixed.

Fairly new proton free user checking out the service before I purchase a plan. I assumed proton supported separating inboxes and folders by email address, but searched and found this.

This feature is simply a must have for any e-mail provider that offers multiple addresses per user. It's a real shame that Proton seems to care so little about this. Instead, they are now apparently working on Proton Wallet, a service that no one really asked for. I pay so much money for the family plan and can't even use it to its full potential.

I am on the Duo Plan. Considering this is a basic function requested over 2 years ago, it is disappointing it hasn't been added yet, especially for a paid subscription user.
To my fellow Proton users, please login in and vote!! 1000 votes have 'mysteriously' disappeared yet this is an essential feature that should be available for paid and free users! -

I look forward to read about the review. For now, I created different folders for each main email address and using filters which works great.

This feature substantiates the value of the higher priced accounts that allow for the association of multiple domains with a proton account and the creation of email addresses associated with those domains. I know you can download ProtonMail Bridge for this feature to work in other email clients (like Mail, Outlook, etc), but the user interfaces of those applications are terrible and I'd much rather access email through the protonmail site online. Would add much value to my proton experience
