Use system setting for light/dark mode
The ProtonMail theme should be able to automatically switch to light/dark based on if the system theme is light/dark.
Thank you for your continued feedback, this feature is available: https://proton.me/support/creating-and-using-theme-settings#how-to-enable-dark-mode-in-proton-web-apps

Would be great the proton vpn app can match the current system theme color, and adapt it to display the app in dark/light mode.

I just noticed that this feature is now available.

Why is this not being prioritized? It's crucial... Dark mode and light mode should be adaptive to our devices' settings.

Since Proton already have several themes implemented, among them both light and dark options, one would think that this should be fairly easy to implement using the CSS media feature "prefers-color-scheme" (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@media/prefers-color-scheme). The feature is already in place on iOS (don't know about Android), so implementing it on Windows/Mac/Linux would bring feature parity between the platforms.

I normally always have system dark mode on, unless I'm sitting with my laptop in the sun. It would be very useful to have this feature!

For that you need first a dark mode; and there is sadly none in my android app. A crucial feature for me

This is a great feature for my pc's, but what about the app on my phone. I would love to have a dark theme on my android app, or at least the ability to detect my system settings.

100%. Annoying when I wake up and check my emails only to be blinded by Satan's waiting room.
Makes me want to cancel my sub and just go back to iOS' Mail app tbh -

That would be so nice.

I would like a theme option that is based on my Windows System Theme, since I have it set to automatically switch from light to dark at sunrise and sunset.

I know its not trivial, but the hard work (the themes) is already done.
I’d love to have this settings implemented like in GitHub, where the user select the theme it want for light, same for dark, and then ProtonMail use the prefer dark theme setting from the system/browser (with a manual override of course).

I would love for the new ProtonMail beta on the web to be able to automatically switch between light and dark theme based on the theme the browser is using.
