Show all sub-folder Mails when clicking on parent-folder
When creating several parent-folders, each with several sub-folders for Mails, It would be a nice feature to see ALL sub-folder-Mails when clicking on a parent folder. Now, if you wanna see a new Mail you have to dive in the specific folder to be able to see it.

could be done as a setting (so the user can decide how they want to organize their emails)

crazy idea, but how about only showing mails of the sub folders in the parent folder when it’s collapsed and keep them separate if the folders are visible?

...and show sub-folder name as an additional column to see where the emails are stored...

Tagging solves this

How do you propose to resolve the fact that said parent folders can themselves have their own set of emails contained therein? It will result in this huge mess of emails in the list.
This should really be implemented on a search level. The way it is being proposed in this question would be too much effort to work around the huge can of worms this could open for what is of relatively little benefit.
