Feature Request: Folder Aggregation / Roll-up Views for Nested Folders
    Hello Proton Team,

One challenge with the current folder system is that parent folders do not show the combined contents of their subfolders. For example, emails in subfolders A/q and A/r are only visible when opening those subfolders, but not when selecting the top-level folder A. This forces users to browse multiple folders separately.

    Suggested feature:

Provide an option for users to enable automatic aggregation (“roll-up”) of emails from all immediate and nested subfolders into the parent folder’s view.

This would create a consolidated, unified inbox-like listing for the parent folder, while preserving the folder hierarchy for organization.

Allow toggling aggregation on or off per folder, to suit different user preferences and workflows.

Such a feature would simplify navigation, reduce extra clicks, and make managing emails across folder hierarchies much more intuitive and efficient.

Thank you for considering this useful addition!

    Dear Proton Team and Community,

Currently, Proton Mail’s search functionality allows only basic filters and lacks support for full Boolean logic. This limitation prevents users from performing powerful, multi-condition searches that are vital for efficient email management.

    Key issues:

No reliable way to search for emails tagged with multiple labels simultaneously (e.g., find emails with label A and label B).

No support for OR operators or parentheses to build complex queries.

Diagnostic and retention management workflows become cumbersome, requiring manual or multi-step workarounds.

    Suggested improvements:

Implement full Boolean logic in search queries, including AND, OR, NOT, and grouping with parentheses.

Enable multi-label intersection queries such as label:Work AND label:Urgent to filter precisely combined label sets.

Enhance search syntax to support nested and compound queries for increased flexibility and automation.

Adding these capabilities will significantly improve user experience, reduce manual effort, and empower advanced filtering and diagnostics natively in the Proton Mail web and mobile apps.

Thank you for considering this enhancement!

Please add option to password-protect deskop mail app after some time of inactivity.
Ideally it could work just like Proton Pass.

Otherwise I suggest that first login per session requires greater protection (such as 2FA or whatever) and then you only need to enter password or 6-digit PIN (as in Pass) to unlock the app after inactivity.
