hide-my-phone alias
Please include hide-my-phone alias, similar to mail aliases, let's say up to 3 permanent numbers and 10 temporary ones.

Honestly, Proton phone is severely needed as an internet based phone number service. The amount of scam calls and texts are insane.

Even one or two numbers per user would be hugely beneficial. It doesn't need to be crazy like unlimited numbers

IronVest has this functionality, it's called Masked Phone, at no additional charge. It gives you one masked phone number and calls to that number get forwarded to your real phone number. You can also make calls from the masked phone number, but it's a few extra steps to do so.

A Google Voice alternative is needed. Google has shown little interest in making Google Voice better, and has barely given it any support since I started using it many years ago. It's still full of years-old bugs, lacks necessary QoL improvements present in other messaging apps, and is generally behind Google Messages in terms of many modern features. If I can get rid of GV, I will have excised Google from my life by 99.9%.

I dont see how this is something they could implement. Phone numbers cost for a carrier to register and to verify that it's not already and exiting number because if it is... then you're just sending spam to some poor soul's phone.
That said as long as you're signing up for things that require a phone number but aren't actually going to verifty it is a real number or call/text you for authentication, the American strategy since the 1980s has been to use your local area code followed by 867-5309 (from the song).

This would be amazing. A phone number is much more difficult to change than an email. When I didn't have Proton I had like 10 different email addresses, and I could always make a new one, so there are ways to get your own homemade "aliases", but when it comes to phone numbers it is a lot more complicated to get them. It may be costly to Proton, but I would gladly pay a reasonable price for each alias if that is what is needed for this to become a reality.

Hello everyone,
One of the reasons I switched to Proton is because of email alias. And as I now take my privacy serioulsy, I can't stop thinking about the issues I have sharing my personal phone number: spaming, privacy, etc... some companies are able to make it, please Proton, enable this feature.
I would not mind paying a few more dollars to get this essential feature.Thank you.

This should be merged with these two other feature requests (since they are all basically the same thing):
https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/945460-general-ideas/suggestions/43892508-virtual-phone-number-by-proton?page=4&per_page=20 = has 1,125 votes
https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass-authenticator/suggestions/48287729-burner-phone-number = has 319 votes
On today 14th of March 2026, that's a combined 1,685 votes
Lots of Proton users want alias for phone numbers similar to what www.cloaked.com has.

This feature would be great and important to have, as many services require a phone number.
I think it would be unrealistic for it to work exactly like an email alias that can also be used to send messages, but it would be great if I could hide my phone number in order to receive the one-time code for the service. -

would be a great feature, but expensive too, they have to create a new number every tme and send the code to you

Could be an add on cost, wouldn't mind paying for each new alias. This is far more critical than email aliases, IMO.

They're not going to implement this ever. Nobody will because it costs them money every text message/phone call.

I know this is probably quite difficult to implement, but yes I would love this so much. Throwaway phone numbers which forward to my own would be awesome.
