Searching content is a no-brainer-must-have.

Searching message content is a must-have for any email app.

To allow content search on my iPhone and iPad, every four days I open the Proton Mail Web app in Safari so the search content doesn’t expire (I have a recurring reminder).

This is the best work around I’ve come across, but pretty annoying!

Actually baffling to me that this requested feature doesn’t have as many votes as some others. I understand the importance of privacy, seeing as how it’s a key feature of proton. But as others have suggested, there are ways to allow for securely searching the message bodies. Proton does this in one way for the web. No matter how many ways you categorize messages, not being able to search the body contents is somewhat crippling. It’s a huge pain point.

Are there any plans or updates on this? I cannot really fathom, why they are not implementing this feature, but everything else. This is indeed a huge disappointment.

This is how I find out that this feature is missing?! I am unfortunately already committed to switch from M365 this year. How is this not getting any traction?

Less Lumo, more mobile search.

Using this app on the go is complicated, and shouldn't be. One shouldn't have to open every mail from a sender to find something.

When I yet again raised this on discord I ended up with a bunch of angry folk defending proton… felt very unwelcome as a paying user for a decade… and still waiting.

Can we be a bit more pragmatic and have encrypted server side indexes already? Not really any different than the emails.

I can only agree with the other users. To me this is the no-go for switching my entire family setup to Proton. If this function was available we would make a family (Duo) subscription today. How can a AI and sheetsapp function be made before this???

Without search in mobile app proton mail is not usable as a primary email account. I'm a paying subscriber for many years - and this keeps me from making it my primary platform.
