Allow ProtonMail desktop app to minimize to system tray
Add this feature already. Switched over and its my only complaint so far. It is a feature in every other proton desktop app.

Easy to copy events in Proton Calendar.
I have to put my working shifts into my calendar. Those are similar times but unregular days.
It would be great to select the existing event - and then be able to select each day I want a copy of it.15 votes -
Sync Proton Calendar with an iCal URL
Some professional calendars can be accessed by an iCal URL (e.g. the schedule of National Education schedules) and it would be very useful to import it automatically (rather than imports by hand).

Create a Proton Phone Contacts app allowing many contact pics / Proton Drive backup
I'm trying to get Google out of my Android (Samsung) phone as much as possible and a Proton Contacts app would be great! Ideally it would have the option include many pics in each contact or linked to pics accessible in Proton Drive. Having it connect with the Whatsapp contacts would be great too.

Language options for spellchecking in ProtonMail
I speak multiple languages. My protonmail apps are in english, but I send emails in multiple languages. I would like to have a simple spell/grammar checker that detects which langage I am typing in, and offers corrections not only for english.

apple watch
Proton Mail and Proton Calendar application for Apple Watch OS would be a big upgrade to keep up with the infrastructure. I don't know if it's working on Samsung watches or other Android wearables but it also should if not.

Sending E2EE emails to non-Proton users without the manual password/key hassle
I’ve been a very happy user and I’m incredibly grateful for what the Proton team has built. Proton is easily the best at privacy when both sides are on the platform, but recently I’ve been sending a lot of sensitive documents—IDs, bank docs, and contracts—to government officials. It’s made me realize that while Proton is great for privacy if both sides use it, it’s still a huge headache when your recipient isn’t a Proton user or a tech freak.
Right now, we have two options for non-Proton users, and both have major real-world friction. First, there’s PGP. Unless the recipient…

Make arrows part of top navigation in desktop to cycle through emails + make arrows on keyboard match
If I open Proton and have 4 emails to read through, I would like to be able to open the first one and either use an up arrow key to navigate to the next unread email, or I would like an arrow as part of the top navigation bar to allow me to cycle through to the next unread email. Having to click each one is cumbersome on the desktop. You are able to physically swipe between emails on the app which works for the phone but would be clunky/unnecessary on the desktop.

Compact view
After seeing the new layout for the Android app, it looks like a good improvement, but there is something that I think is missing: a compact view. I do not nneed to see the attachments, a clip is enough. I do not need so big labels.
If space is used for sender and subject alone, more mails fit into the screen.13 votes -
move-copy folders from one account to another within same business account
Today, if I want to move all emails from one account to another, the only method I found was via Bridge-Thunderbird: downloading, locally copying, and uploading, which is crazy time-consuming and, unfortunately, not safe (the final count showed that lots of emails were not copied).
Instead of downloading and uploading, it would be great if the group admin had the ability to move folders between accounts.2 votes -
Better long mail conversation UI
Currently, it is cumbersome to browse long email conversations:
* individual emails are collapsed, therefore I can only read the address of the sender
* clicking on an individual email to open it displays the full conversation backwards, which makes it very long to scroll through the page
* it's generally hard to find the email I'm looking for (I basically click randomly in hope to find the proper email, until I do)In my humble opinion:
* individual emails should not display the entire conversation (allow collapsing / uncollapsing it with a "..." button like in gmail)
* collapsed…4 votes -
Filter Categories/Sub Filters
When adding entries into a filter, allow to create sub filters. This would be useful if: The domain has multiple addresses, and they could be filtered to go where they need to go. You could keep the max 50 main filters, but you could have a higher limit of sub filters. You could also create Filter categories, where you could add various domains. This would be similar to sub filters, but you could define/have more granular control of where this and that mail can go. It could also be a simple way to know what those addresses for.

Add imap accounts from other providers to the desktop and mobile mail app
I would like to be able to add IMAP accounts for other providers to the mobile and desktop mail apps. I have a few email accounts (student, work) that aren't proton mail, and it is annoying to have to use separate mail apps.

Folder depth limit and unread email indicator
Hello Proton Team,
First of all, as a French user, please excuse my English which might leave a little to be desired... ;)
Thank you for your excellent work. As a daily user of your services, I would like to share two feature suggestions regarding the Proton Mail interface that I believe would greatly improve the overall user experience:Increase the subfolder limit: Being a true neat freak when it comes to organization, I find the current 3-level hierarchy limit a bit restrictive. It would be incredibly useful to be able to create more nesting levels for hyper-precise categorization (this…

Mute a conversation/thread
Like in other email providers, it should be possible to "mute" a thread.
By doing so, other emails coming in the thread would not trigger a notification, nor put back the archived thread in the inbox.3 votes -
Scheduling poll (like doodle) but with quadratic votes and tentative events
To organize an event, it is often necessary to poll a group of people about possible dates. This problem is solved by Doodle (https://doodle.com/), but I'd like to see this as a proton-native operation.
Specifically, a poll could look like this: You click on a separate "Event Poll" action button under "New Event", enter the addresses of people you'd like to participate in the event, and select some date options. The invited people get emails with a link to a page where they can vote for specific times. All date options show up in your calander with a…

Newsletters view new tab : Archive or Other
Currently in the Newsletters view there are 2 tabs: Active and Unsubscribed. I would like an extra one, either "Archive" or "Not Newsletters" or "Other"...
Problem is many senders/threads are categorized as newsletters whereas they are not (for instance delivery notifications or login codes), therefore cannot be unsubscribed so they still appear in the Active list, polluting the list of actual newsletters.
I know we can send email headers to Proton so they improve their detection but there should be a button to mark the selected "newsletter" as "not a newsletter"3 votes
