Backup all events or current event in Calendar
Offer to backup either all events, or per event. There would be a toggle. This would allow you to restore a previous event, in the event you change it after, or need to restore it. The space needed to store these backed up events, would use your proton drive space.

Resizable folders panel in Column layout
On desktop and web, when using Column layout, I can resize the messages list vs. the opened message, but I can’t resize the left folders panel (Inbox, Trash, etc.). Please add an option to resize that panel too.
For me it’s way too wide, and making it smaller would give more space to the message view, which is more useful.

Add attachments to events
It would be very helpful/useful/convenient if file attachments could be added to calendar events... this would minimize having to search through drive to bring up a document that is related to an event.

Bulk actions for selected emails
I recently started looking for jobs quite heavily and got application confirmations on my account. I was able to filter for all of them, but there is not an action to bulk forward them to e.g. Gmail which has more functionality for processing mails automatically. I’d like to either forward them in bulk or copy all of the content to let it be processed by ChatGPT automatically, so it generates a table or csv file which I could add to my existing google sheets file where I keep track of applications. Send emails though accounts added through easy switch
Add the ability to send emails though non Proton accounts that were connected through easy switch, to simply send emails through our previous email addresses with the convenience of Proton.

Implement Enhanced Tracking Protection on Android platform
Implement enhanced tracking protection features in the Android app that are already available on the web. This will include:
- Protection against spy pixels (also known as tracking pixels).
- Tracking link protection.

Sending emails FROM a group address
I would like to be able to send emails using a group address as the sender (admin@domain.com for example) to make sure my colleagues in the same department receive the replies in case I am not available.

Improve search to allow multiple filters
The current search is very limited. I want to find all emails with a specific label in the Inbox. In the search, I can select Inbox and a label, but I can only choose one.
I have 40k emails with this label in the archive, and 1,000 emails in the Inbox, some of which have the same label. How am I supposed to search for just the ones in the Inbox? Please improve the search to allow combining multiple filters.

Add right-click context menu in the desktop app
Please add right-click functionality in the desktop app. For example, right-clicking a folder should open a context menu with options like Settings, Empty Trash, and so on.

Proxy in ProtonMail app for linux
It would be nice to be able to add a connection settings in the ProtonMail app whether it is on windows, Mac or Linux (but mainly in Linux because more easy to setup) to be able to connect through a proxy socks5, http, https (preferably socks5) for adding a secure link layer like going through tor. This is in the case you are already running a vpn and you (as you should) run tor or i2p inside that vpn tunnel too.

add functionality to support multi select/forward/delete email items
When working with the Proton email app in either the web-based client or desktop app it is very unfriendly to easily select multiple, individual messages with e.g. control/space/etc and then easily delete with DEL or SHIFT+DEL like working with Outlook or Gmail with just the keyboard. Additionally, it would be good to open a new compose-email in a separete window and enable dragging/dropping one or more existing email(s) into the new message to forward messages. This would be a great usability improvement.

Obsolete / Prompt setting for each email address in contacts
I would like to see a setting for each email address in the contacts, maybe it is called Email Status:
Normal - Email is used normally
Obsolete - Email is obsolete (the contact changed their email ... to proton!) but is used for identifying older emails using that address, you cannot compose a new email to that address without proton objecting.
Prompt - Email can only be used after verification by the user. For example maybe you don't want to accidentally send an email to your ex-partner or to your boss or someone you have a fraught relationship with. This…2 votes -

sort folders without going to settings
On the Proton Mail inbox (https://mail.proton.me/u/5/inbox) scroll down to 'Folders':
Add a sort button right next to the + (add folder) button and before the gear (settings) button. This would eliminate the need to load another page to sort the folders and then reload the inbox page.
Also, as others have recommended, allow the subfolders to be sorted alphabetically.

Search in Settings
Please add a search bar to the settings. It’s really hard to find specific options because there are so many settings. Take a look at how the Vivaldi browser implemented settings search — it’s very convenient and intuitive.
