1. Actions when hovering over an email

   I suggest adding an optional setting to the interface that disables quick actions when you hover the mouse over an email. These actions include move to trash, move to archive, mark as (un)read, and so on. It’s quite inconvenient to switch between emails when your inbox is divided into two panels (the email column on the left and their details on the right). This means you have to reach further with the mouse and risk accidentally clicking on the icons.

4. Bug or Feature? - IOS calendar app defaults calendar entries to :15 or :45 rather than :00 or :30 minute segments, requiring manual adjust

   In my IOS Proton calendar app, when i go to create a new calendar entry, routinely, proton 'sets' the time on the quarter or three quarter hour, instead of on the hour or at the half. I'm not clear why this happens, as i'm 'clicking' the center of an hour block, but the new calendar entry comes up as 15 or 45, forcing me to scroll to the 00 or 30 depending on need. Not sure if this is a feature that's overly sensitive to finger placement, or a defect creating extra work. I rarely book anything on 15 or 45, and would rather default to 00 and 30, then adjust when required. It's functioning opposite for me where the common result is not 00 or 30 regardless of where i 'tap'.

6. More organized configuration in Mail

   The ProtonMail inbox/main configuration is already pretty good, but it seems a little cluttered to me in comparison with Gmail's clean and organized view.

   I like Gmail's inbox layout with emails stretching across the view, and then upon clicking on one it turns completely to that email's contents. Rather than Proton's half-and-half configuration.

   Hope that makes sense.

   Also, I don't think this is super important, just would help freshen things up a little.

7. Change label or folder visibility in list

   I'd like to be able to hide labels or folders in the list seen in Proton Mail. As I use more labels or folders I don't need to be able to see all of them, in fact they start to clutter things up. For older archived items in particular I want to be able to apply a label or move to a folder but this doesn't need to be visible day to day. This feature is available in Gmail and is one of the things it does better for organising large mailboxes.

8. Select all mails after search - proton mail app

   I want to clean my mailbox. So I am searching mail’s from eg info@news.com and want to select all this messages and move them to a folder or delete them. But it’s not possible on iOS mail app. I have to click on every single mail … would save a lot of time! Thank you!

9. Allow Gmail as default sender for seamless family migration to Proton

   With the new Gmail Connection feature, it is possible to receive and send Gmail messages directly from Proton Mail. However, a connected Gmail address cannot be selected as the default sending address for new messages.

   Please allow connected Gmail accounts to be selected as the default "From" address.

   This would make migrating family members and less technical users from Gmail to Proton much easier. They could start using Proton Mail as their only mail app without having to remember to manually select their Gmail address every time they compose a new message.

   (if they want, over time they can gradually switch contacts and accounts to their Proton address, making the transition away from Gmail seamless).

    Subject: Critical UX Failures — Label Management & Filtering

    To the Proton Mail Product and Development Teams,
    I am writing to request immediate UX improvements regarding how labels and filters are managed in your system. The current workflow for managing pervasive labels shows a staggering lack of respect for users operating complex inboxes. While your privacy and security frameworks are excellent, your basic organizational tools are actively hindering productivity and require a massive overhaul. It is unacceptable that you bill us 30% more—with an added 40% exchange rate penalty for Canadian users—for the exact same unresolved pain points we have endured for over five years, all while increasing your fees to fund tech charities instead of fixing your core product.

    Please address the following glaring usability gaps immediately:

    Inability to Filter by Multiple Labels: It is unacceptable that users cannot execute a basic search or filter combining two or more labels simultaneously. This is standard functionality in almost every other email client.
    
    Search Box for Labels: For users with hundreds of labels, manually scrolling through an endless dropdown list is absurd. Implement a simple text search box directly above the label menu for immediate filtering.
    
    Automatic Label Sorting: Creating a new label dumps it at the very bottom of the list, forcing users to navigate into the settings menu to manually drag and drop it into alphabetical or logical order. Auto-sorting must be standard.
    
    Implement a "Clear All Labels" Button: Users should not have to open the label dropdown and manually uncheck 10+ individual labels one by one when a thread accumulates a massive block of incorrect tags. There needs to be a single action button to strip all tags from a selected email instantly.
    
    Traceability for Auto-Labeling: When an email arrives with unexpected labels, there is no diagnostic indicator explaining why it was labeled. The UI needs to show whether a label was applied by a specific Custom Filter, a Sieve Script, or inherited via Conversation Grouping.
    
    Mass Edit Controls: Managing label sprawl across historical emails from a specific sender is overly manual. We need a streamlined way to mass-edit or purge specific label combinations across bulk search results without fighting the current clunky dropdown menu.
    

    Your organizational UX is fundamentally broken for power users who rely on high-volume filtering. Please escalate these missing basic features to your development roadmap immediately.

11. Booking Pages Need 5-minute Increment Appointments on Proton Calendar

    Durations in 5-Minute Increments

    Please change Proton Calendar Booking Pages so appointment durations can be set in 5-minute increments.

    The current 15-minute minimum and limited duration choices are too restrictive. Many standard professional schedules require appointments of:

    5 minutes
    10 minutes
    15 minutes
    20 minutes
    30 minutes
    40 minutes
    45 minutes
    and other durations in 5-minute increments

    Proton Calendar already allows users to manually create calendar events shorter than 15 minutes, but Booking Pages do not provide the same flexibility.

    This limitation can prevent otherwise standard appointment workflows from being implemented through Proton Calendar Booking Pages at all. When other routine appointment types require other durations, that are not currently supported, users are unable to reproduce their existing scheduling workflow and therefore cannot use Proton Booking Pages as their scheduling solution.

    This is more than a matter of creating inconvenient gaps in a schedule; for some professional users, the available duration options can determine whether the Booking Page feature is usable at all.

    Please allow users to select any appointment duration in 5-minute increments, with a 5-minute minimum, rather than restricting Booking Pages to the current duration options.

    Please add an option to hide or toggle off the “Unread” icon in the mobile app on both iOS and Android. Some users may prefer a cleaner interface or may not find the icon useful, so allowing it to be removed from view would provide greater flexibility and personalization.

14. Why do you have change the fonction"access to the unread message"

    You have change the fonction "unread message". It was an essential to the mail fonction. I ued it every time... Now it is impossible to have access to see all the unread messages. It's not good at all. You have to scroll untill you find thoses messages. And the click button has disapear. Why to change a thing that's really good.
    Please. Change that if you don't want to loose customer massively.

15. Change default options for new event in Calendar

    When creating a new event make default duration a default like 1 hour, not all day. Notifications should not be hidden under "more options" but displayed in the initial dialog. In a perfect world I would like to be able to set what fields are displayed. I never use participants, location, meet conferencing or description, so I'd like to be able to relegate those to "more options" but have "notification" on the primary dialog.

17. Shared calendar reminders to all users

    Calendar reminders from shared calendars should apply to all users. When I add an event to a shared calendar, these reminders aren’t automatically applied to the other users. They only receive the default reminders. This is particularly inconvenient for family calendars. There should be more options for customizing this.

18. booking slots from Appointment Scheduling don't appear in my calendar view

    Currently, available booking slots from Appointment Scheduling don't appear
    as visible blocks in my calendar view. I can only see confirmed bookings.

    Feature request:
    Show available booking slots as light-colored blocks vs. darker colors for
    confirmed bookings. This provides instant visual clarity on my availability.

    Why this matters:
    - Quick overview of potential booking windows
    - Better calendar planning without manual workarounds
    
    - Prevents confusion between "open" and "booked" time

    Workaround exists (separate calendars) but all events show as "busy"
    since Proton Calendar lacks Free/Busy status per event.
