Have ProtonDocs which would be similar to GoogleDocs
It would be great to be able to edit documents and spreadsheets like people can do in Google Docs.

It will cost much work. Proton should better focus on its own core business.
Couldn't they just install and run an instance of CryptPad? Why duplicate the effort?
Totally agree with this. And even if an "online docs version is a long way"... at least being able to see a preview of an Excel spreadsheet or word document. Seriously if the file isn't an image or a PDF we have to download it to see it??!! This is the most painful thing for a cloud drive. And it's actually what makes me stay on Google for the time being. Also agree on one of the comment here... Products are really great, but really are taking wayyyyy too long to come out. The calendar on an iOS browser isn't even capable of showing a monthly layout!! Hire people... There's a lot of work to be done... If possible not in a year!
At this point the company is struggling just to get Proton Calendar out of an over-a-year-long Beta; with a mobile app barely launching, and there has been no official roll out of the year-long-plus launch of Proton Mail Beta on either desktop or mobile. I'd prefer to see them focused on getting the current products (mail, drive and calendar) up to speed.

This is an issue 2 - why does aol app keep closing - https://www.talk2techguru.com/forums/topic/why-does-aol-app-keep-crashing/
a plain text editor is the logical place to start
Starting small with a simple writing editor would be a huge plus for this service.
I currently use Google for documents and desperately want to get away from it. I can't switch to Proton Drive until this feature is available

I am currently a heavy google drive, docs & tools user (spreadsheet, word, powerpoint, photos, etc). Also pay for Microsoft 360 to use MS Office programs on my desktop.
Would love to migrate everything into proton and get away from these monsters. Any suggestions as I have a team environment?

Awesome! Proton Technologies should create a whole suite called ProtonOffice. Docs, slides, spreadsheet, etc.
https://cryptpad.fr/ seems promissing
This would be a very cool addition and I think that providing a free encrypted/safe place to write documents would certainly increase the number of users, and the overall user activity. What do you think?
urgent need of Proton Docs collaborative writing editor
can we use in relatively close feature something similar to google docs?
