Upgraded VPN for Mail Plus Subscribers
I have been a Proton Mail Plus subscriber since 2021. As such I'm entitled to use the free version of Proton VPN. I just learned, however, non-mail subscribers can download and set up the same exact free VPN. To be clear, it appears they pay nothing for this. Seems unfair to paid mail subscribers. I would suggest providing an upgraded VPN with more features for Mail Plus subscribers; something short of VPN Plus. After all, there should be some benefit to being a paid mail customer versus a non-paying, non-customer. I recently cancelled my Express VPN subscription so I could switch to Proton VPN. This issue has caused a bit of disappointment. I respectfully request this matter be considered by the decision makers. Thank you for the forum.

As of November 2025, I had bought a Mail Plus plan but couldn't buy a VPN Plus (needed country servers and P2P). I was obligated to buy at significant increased cost the package of Mail Unlimited that included VPN Plus.
Unfortunately, the Unlimited plan is huge overkill for my needs. I'm waiting for day when I can revert to Mail Plus and VPN Plus. -

This is the boomer mindset: why do others get things that cost Proton money to operate but I only get the extra stuff I paid for AND that stuff! THIS is unfair! And I shouldn't have to pay taxes because I don't have kids in school, or want cops either! >: (

If you look at the Proton's plan, thry have for every service separate subscription. If you want you can get proton unlimited which is way cheaper than paying for ProtonVPN and mail separately. And if you want every single new feature right away, get the visionary plan
