More Servers Outside of Jurisdictions with Age Verification Laws
With the implementation of age verification laws in the UK, Australia, and many states in the US, as a ProtonVPN user only using the free tier, I don’t want to connect to a server in a jurisdiction where I would have to show my ID. I propose, as a passive endeavor, that when you, the team behind ProtonVPN buys new servers, you avoid putting them in jurisdictions with age verification laws, to give a better chance of the fastest servers being in restrictive locations.

And another quick way to get around this issue, when you do end-up on a country that floods your internet experience with age verification blocks, is to let users trivially change to a random server and refresh the page

That’s a thoughtful suggestion about improving server locations and user privacy choices in restricted regions. Similarly, platforms like https://orus.ph/tin-verification/ focus on secure and compliant digital processes, helping users verify tax information safely through official online systems.

ProtonVPN downloads have skyrocketed in places with age verification like the UK and Australia. Sure, it verifies that the user is not a 'minor' - but only 'non-minors' will age verify. ... Therefore, age verification is a data privacy suck of legal users' biometric and/or government ID and/or credit card info.
Allowing users on the FREE tier the ability to actively select servers OUTSIDE of jurisdictions with age verification laws will go a long way to promoting Proton's "Privacy First" stance, and would only add to Proton's credibility.

Correction: “to give a better chance of the fastest servers being in less restrictive locations.”
