Hey @Proton
There are number of business drivers that should spur you folks on to make the Linux version of ProtonVPN as feature-rich as the Windows version.1. Linux is gaining popularity - pretty fast! Many of the user-friendly versions of Linux (Ubuntu / Mint / POP / Zorin / etc are very feature-compatible, even very UI-compatible with Windows. This is LOWERING the BARRIER TO ENTRY into Linux for the average user.
2. The current USER MENTAL SHIFT is becoming more privacy focused - but users also want a "nice" experience. ProtonVPN for Linux does not give that experience.
3. Users WILL PRIORITISE ease of use. That means that ProtonVPN will LOSE MARKET SHARE to inferior products, just because you didn't put the effort in.
4. To make things work, you need SPEED TO MARKET and be technically excellent. Microsoft trumped Apple with speed. VHS trumped Beta with of speed. Netflix trumped Blockbuster with speed. They saw a niche and took it - FAST - and beat the "technically superior" competition.
Proton, it's time to stop treating Linux versions of ProtonVPN like a side project.
Make it EXCELLENT!
Make it CONFIGURABLE!
Make it FRIENDLY!
Do it FAST!

ProtonVPN downloads have skyrocketed in places with age verification like the UK and Australia. Sure, it verifies that the user is not a 'minor' - but only 'non-minors' will age verify. ... Therefore, age verification is a data privacy suck of legal users' biometric and/or government ID and/or credit card info.
Allowing users on the FREE tier the ability to actively select servers OUTSIDE of jurisdictions with age verification laws will go a long way to promoting Proton's "Privacy First" stance, and would only add to Proton's credibility.
