Proton Docs / collaboration suite
(folders and docs similar to GoogleDocs)
Proton mail needs some collaborative word processor and spreadsheet in a drive where people can securely work on it but only the person who owns the files can keep them and no one can download them or copy them.

We definitely need a Windows integration too...!

Write email > save as Draft (and you could even label it). It could already be a note app if you use it that way.

Ability to update newer file only and automatic file sync is crucial to use the service

A plain text editor would be an awesome start.

2 features: sync keeping files in device and server; move files to server and download on demand (an enhanced version would be keeping a preview file in the device, and when opened, download the actual file)

it is what is called a killer application for the usage of proton drive.

This is essential. If Skiff can do it, then Proton should be able to. (www.skiff.com - see their Pages app)

It needs to have the equivalent of Google Docs and Sheets. If Skiff can do it (end-to-end encrypted) then I don't see why Proton can't.

Skiff has had this feature (with privacy-first and end-to-end encryption) for years now. Why hasn't Proton added it yet??

What would be amazing is a note taking app with a mix of Notion and Roam or Obsidian.
Where we take our notes isn't safe. Some of us write thoughts and other things we'd rather not have out there.
Something with a mix of Notion for its databases and pages features, add that to the Roam web notes feature, connecting it to Proton calendar and email is an app that would practically eliminate need for all outside apps.

This would be very cool and I'd love it, but I'm guessing it'd be a MASSIVE development project. I'd be happy just to see a Notes-like app--which looks like it's in the pipeline!

This is the Proton Mail section. There are existing ideas for this in the Proton Drive section e.g.:

If i can sync files or connect via SSH so it can be used as a terminal interface or added as a path for network storage to provide similar functionality then i would use proton drive constantly.

A simple Markdown based text editor like the one in Nextcloud would be good enough for me.

Proton drive absolutely useless to me without the ability to sync files across my devices.

I'd be happy with just being able to edit .txt documents.

Proton Drive for Business needs a way for my team to collaborate on files. As it stands, my team members cannot access any of the files that I upload. This is a major pitfall.
As the administrator, I should be able to set up specific folders for my team to be able to share. We should all be able to access these folders in our respective drive accounts to upload or remove files.
These shared folders should also still support link sharing.
We are a team of genealogists, so we would greatly benefit in being able to collaborate on folders, but we still need to share these folders with our clients.
