Proton Docs / collaboration suite
(folders and docs similar to GoogleDocs)
Proton mail needs some collaborative word processor and spreadsheet in a drive where people can securely work on it but only the person who owns the files can keep them and no one can download them or copy them.
Proton now has Docs:

And Sheets:

I am really looking forward to this! My experience with ProtonMail and ProtonVPN was great so far and a dedicated cloud service will be a great addition to the Proton App Family. Good job team!

I'm ready to pay for two things:
1. Lifetime subscription to ProtonMail (I'm currently paying annually, which is fine, but Lifetime just seems better)
2. ProtonDrive

I would love to see proton drive. I am starting my own contractor job doing audits. I have been testing ProtonMail and currently purchase ProtonVPN. If proton drive comes about I will be switching to all proton paid services for business and private use!! Keep me updated!!

I couldn't agree more! Please start with Calendar and Drive and later you can see which other 'Google ' facilities are needed by Protonmail used.

I love Protonmail. It's my main email service now. Can't wait for you guys to bring in a secure private encrypted cloud storage service. I just don't trust the privacy of services like Dropbox or Google cloud storage and refuse to use them. I'm sure most loyal Protonmail subscribers are praying you'll make release of Protondrive a priority.

This would be great in the future once email and chat are solid.

This would be a very cool addition and I think that providing a free encrypted/safe place to write documents would certainly increase the number of users, and the overall user activity. What do you think?

You realize that it's not just about raw storage. With more storage comes (usually) more access to it. And since ProtonMail is encrypted, this means that they have to provision more CPU parallel to increasing storage, lest they run into a CPU bottleneck. This costs more (in hardware and electricity) than merely slapping additional high capacity HDDs in the servers.

To accelorate ProntonDrive even if it started life as a hosted version of something like OwnCloud it would be a great start.

I work for a large Corporation. I'm the Net Admin and I also wear many other hats. I signed up for proton mail and I love it. I was so excited I told others in my department about it and some end users. the only issue with them and with me as I plan to be long time is the storage.
storage is getting cheaper and cheaper. I just upgraded one of our file servers from 20TB to 40TB for about $500. thats HDD though. we have others with SSD and I know that would be more, but if I were to go from 5 to 10 it would be double yearly. just wish it was cheaper.

I am considering switching from Google Drive to Nextcloud (hosted on DigitalOcean), but I am aware that I am not in a position to ensure the best maintenance of the server and I would also love ProtonMail to offer a Cloud solution in addition to the mail one.
Any more details on ProtonDrive project mentioned here and there on Internet?

I’ve found on the internet “ProtonDrive” which looks like a Cloud Storage service: is that you? Are you going to release such type of service? Is there any expected date? Thank you very much.

I would love a secured cloud storage solution, that works also under Linux. Like e.g. Dropbox with extended file attributes and a transparent synchronization mechanism.
