Proton is claiming to be an advocate for open source, security, etc... but Linux is always the last OS to be implemented. I Kknow there are fewer users for Linux and there are various distri but still, show us that Linux matters when open source and security matters.

I'm looking forward when a Linux client for Proton Drive is available.

I agree with most of the comments here. Been a paying proton user for a few years now, and happily so. I totally understand that linux takes a backseat to windows and mac development, but it's dissapointing to see that a linux client is not even part of the roadmap...

I'm paying the full package and will be happy to prolonge but Just need this functionallity for Linux and android to make it worth to do so.

unfortunately without this proton drive is nearly useless as i move from windows. id love to see proton become thr first and only encrypted file storage solution with a native linux client (even if it only supports NTFS or rclone)

Moving to Linux is a core part of my recent privacy push, how can Proton claim to be a privacy-focused service and not offer Linux support? First time I'm disappointed with this company.

I like the family plan. However, a Linux sync app is essential. Linux is the only operating system my family and I use. I'll check back in a few months to see if it's available.

Gnome accounts allows for google drive syncing with Nautilus or Nimo file managers. What if Proton Bridge for Linux included the ability to sync with common Linux file managers?

Really wanted to switch to Unlimited using the end of year discounts, but had to pass because of the lack of a proton drive linux app

I'm trialling Proton Mail/Drive at the moment, and it's disappointing to see that 18 months after this UserVoice idea was created there's still no Linux client. As others have said, even a CLI tool would be fine.

I don't understand why you neglect Linux like that. If you really believe in what you say, and if it's not just hypocrisy and opportunism, you should publish a fully functional Linux app at the same time than for Windows and Mac. It's like the Proton VPN Linux app : lack of essential functionalities, etc, it works bad, come years later... A shame.

I would love to back my Linux computer up to Proton Drive. I have my fingers crossed for a client that also allows me to mount Proton Drive over Samba or SFTP.

I am trying to improve how I share my private data, I tried to create my own Mail, Calendar, Storage server, lost lot of time, then I moved to Proton Mail, but not having a drive sync app for linux make me thinks to go back to create my own private server, using NextCloud instead

Switched from windows to Linux this year. Felt sure that as such a security conscious company, a Linux client for proton drive would soon be released. Can it really be true that such a critical item is now not even on the planning list ?

Have been a paid user for many years in order to support Proton (the free account would easily meet my needs), now feeling really sad if a Microsoft only policy is now in place.
