Linux Client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Linux client for Proton Drive.

I would definitely appreciate this feature. This is the one thing that's holding me back from moving from my Plus plan to a monthly Proton plan. If I had a way to use Proton Drive on my computer, I would move completely.

This would enable me to get rid of google drive. Please give us an app that lets us sync directories on our devices with proton drive. Thank you.

I vote for the Linux Client. Sometimes i have a bad internet connection, so it would be usefull to have the files offline on the client.

I vote for a Linux client.
I would prefer that it comes with partial syncing (for selected "offline available" files/folders or a particular folder you can select to be synced). Something like this is suggested in another feature request which also has many votes. However, I know the proton team cannot please all user requests. In any case, I consider important that a client comes with the option to stop/resume syncing. This is useful, for instance, when you change a file and the software that changes the file places a temporary file in the same folder (Libre Office does this all the time for me). These temporary files are immediately deleted after the file being changed is saved. Additionally, this reduces battery consumption (on portables) and network traffic.

I disabled OneDrive automatic uploads in the hope Proton Drive would sync files too as was stated some time ago. Reduced to uploading manually - I wait in hope

The only reason I didn't ditch other vpn and storage services to concentrate on Proton is the lack of a Linux clients for Proton drive. Mega does a wonderful job at this.

I am on the visionary plan myself and would love to see this happen at some point. Especially considering PCloud, Mega, Koofr also have clients that work well for as well.

Would upgrade to a paid subscription if this was available.

I would need a Linux Client to sync files before I start using this service

I moved from DropBox to ProtonDrive a year ago. I really miss the file sync !
Makes for very clunky workflows when you have no choice but to manually use the web interface. -

Bridge application emulating WebDAV and/or NFS. WebDAV would be best for providing a newbie-friendly experience as some desktops include native tools for mounting a WebDAV directory, and standalone utilities exist for doing so.
Without this, ProtonDrive is useless to me as I find it easier to insert a flash drive or else PGP-encrypt files on Dropbox.

Integration that works with Gnome/KDE. The best scenario would be to sign in using the "internet accounts" tool and then simply integrate the address book, calendar, todo and calendar. Why not?
