Linux Client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Linux client for Proton Drive.

It would have been nice if you had developed a Linux desktop app before adding frills to the Mac and Windows apps. If it is not done by Nov. 2025, my account renewal time, I will cancel my account. You know, the one that's generating income for you.

Really like to have the Proton Apps on Linux (Mint) as well, because older pc's in our household are being switched to it because they don't support Windows 11. Most important for me would be to work with files in Drive in file manager, like in Windows Explorer.

I refuse to talk about or recommend any Proton services to anybody else until this exists.

Many of us users who seek more privacy move to Linux, and it would be important for Proton to provide all of its applications for Linux. We know that some are already available, but Drive would be especially important when it comes to document handling.

We need this integrating with Nautilus & the Ubuntu backup app.
There is no need to cater for all distributions - issue as a snap and it should cover most -

Just do it

It is unbelievable that Proton Drive still has no sync support for Linux.

Last thing that ties me to Windows.

Can't believe Proton don't see the value. This is apparently their core belief, but they don't support it??? I can't fully commit to Proton until I have a synch drive to Linux.

it's the only application that's missing so I can move to Linux full time - even if it's a very basic Linux client to start.

Another year, still no Linux support. Disappointing, may have to downgrade my plan as there is no point paying for features I cannot use.

As soon we get this one, https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/45271456-linux-client creating a nix package is pretty easy

Proton Drive will continue to be fairly useless to me until there's a Linux app.

Please consider adding this feature soon, it is critical

I am a long time Visionary user of Proton. I move between Windows, Android, and Ubuntu Linux. It would be extremely valuable to be able to move and share files securely between all three systems. Please implement a Linux version of Proton Drive.

For making unencrypted backups on external harddisks you need locally synchronized data. With the end auf Windows 10 lots of PCs will shift to Linux.

As I was looking for a Dropbox replacement and Proton doesn't deliver for Linux yet, I've stumbled over Koofr.eu. Maybe this is of help for some other Linux-users.
