I'm new to Proton and love it so far but as of 4/19/2024 no Proton Drive support for Ubuntu is unreal. Its a show stopper for me!!!

This is very important as I use Linux for all personal files. Managing tons of files in the web UI is much more difficult than it is to have them available locally in Linux desktop

For information, there's an experimental community implementation called Rclone: https://rclone.org/protondrive/

I just want to +1. Long time Proton user and the only reason I am not using Drive is because it does not have a Linux client or any other [non-hacky] way of syncing files with the native filesystem.

That's a critical feature, and the only one I'm really missing to start using Proton as my main cloud drive. The most basic CLI client would be already enough to start with for many Linux users.

I would love love love love having a linux client as it's my main workstation OS and working without it is such a pain syncing documents etc.

I just recently switched to Proton with pretty much everything and as I daily drive Fedora on all me machines I really need the linux sync client for Proton Drive, otherwise I'm unfortunately not able to to use it.
I'm in love with the work Proton is doing for privacy, but I'm also stunned that they don't yet offer a linux client given their goals they set themself.
If not a client done by Proton directly at least bringing the integration for rclone up to speed would be needed.

A proton Drive integration client for use with linux would make me use Proton drive actually for myself instead of occasionally to temporary sharing of files with others.

Really need a Linux client for Proton Drive. Most Linux users are privacy and security conscious. More so than Mac and Windows users. Please support us!

Yesterday I installed Proton Drive on a windows VM and played with it a bit. I tried to get it to sync a network drive which is the folder on linux that I want to sync with my Proton Drive account. It said it doesn't support syncing network drives. If you won't release a client for linux, can you at least allow drive to sync network folders? Why do you not have a linux client for Proton Drive?
