Proton Drive Integration with Android Default Storage
I haven't yet found a way to set Proton Drive as a default storage location on Android within the "My Files" functionality which drives selectable save options for most file save actions. Obviously, Google Drive is available along with MS OneDrive, internal storage, SD storage and network storage. Having Proton Drive set here would make file management much easier on Android mobile.

This is mandatory for a drive application to be able to work on the files, with synchronization...

Proton can't be a contender on Android, the most dominant mobile platform, until it supports things like the Storage Access Framework that users of Android use constantly

Please! Just pointless without it. I want 5TB of Proton drive space, and I want it to work with the Autosync app or similar. I need to back up all of my photos and video as I shoot them and edit them.
I want OUT of GOOGLE entirely. Please please implement this. Please please let us buy more storage!

A folder set by the user, Proton drive automatically encrypts the files and uploads them to Proton Drive
That would solve half of the problem for most people, the download to storage means having files not encrypted, so that part is a lot more difficult

It would be useful to have folder synchronization between multiple devices, similar to what Syncthing offers.

I'd like to be able to automatically upload my Signal and WhatsApp backup files to Proton Drive and if a sync-able local folder can do that, that'd be awesome!

I want to be able to automatically save&sync backups & files on proton by allowing access to said files and folders.

Thanks for implementing photo sync (or at least upload)! Implementing arbitrary folder sync must be easier now, right?

Absolutely critical feature, doesn't matter what it my take but it is the framework to any cloud drive service, and needs to be implemented asap for proton's competitiveness

Please ! I may understand that it doesn't exist yet on linux because it's a small userbase, even tho paying a subscription should give access this feature, but on Android ? in 2025 ? pleaaase

Literally the last required feature to ditch Google Drive.

Just as everyone before me has said - this should have been implemented already. Just putting in my comment & vote to add to the fire.

The lack of clear communication on whether this feature is planned in the future or not—especially since this feature has I assume been critically requested by a substantial number of people over the past 2 years—is very frustrating. I have been looking forward to transitioning my digital ecosystem to Proton's services, but this is the one fatal flaw that has me holding back waiting.
If we can please get any thoughts and updates, or whether or not it's feasible in the first place, that'd be appreciated.
