MacOS client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Mac OS client for Proton Drive.
Thanks for your feedback and patience, Proton Drive for MacOS is now available!

This sounds like a duplicate of https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/42237280-protondrive-bridge

While Proton Drive has been available for over a year, the absence of a dedicated MacOS client hinders users from fully enjoying the benefits of your secure and encrypted storage solution.
Currently, users are required to go online and access Proton Drive through the website, making the process of uploading and downloading files cumbersome and time-consuming. By introducing a dedicated MacOS client, users would be able to seamlessly integrate Proton Drive into their desktop workflow, saving time and enhancing their overall experience.
Additionally, I would like to highlight the issue of limited file format compatibility within Proton Drive. Presently, users are often forced to download files to their local machine in order to view them, instead of having the convenience of viewing them directly within the application. Expanding the compatibility of Proton Drive with various file formats for online viewing would greatly enhance its usability and make it a more versatile and efficient storage solution.
I strongly believe that the introduction of a MacOS client for Proton Drive and improved file format compatibility would significantly elevate the overall user experience. These features would allow users to fully embrace the benefits of secure and private cloud storage without relying on external platforms.
Thank you for considering my feature request. I appreciate your dedication to providing a top-notch service and look forward to witnessing the continual improvement of Proton Drive.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I want to be able to manage Proton Drive files with the same ease I organize files on my computer and network. As I recall, other online storage options allow this.

And if you do this please extend payment options for non company accounts to have possibility to buy additional storage without combination like this with adding enother users or etc.

This is a MUST! No one Uploads files through a website in 2023 ...
This should be clear :) -

This would be an awesome feature (on all platforms...especially Linux :P). Just been upgraded to 6TB and being able to use a sync feature would mean I could make good use of it and make more steps to leaving the grips of Google.

When is this feature coming? It was on the roadmap for end of 2022 but I've heard nothing. Considering switching back to Microsoft for OneDrive at this rate.
Proton Team - can we PLEASE get an update? You've been silent on it from what I've seen.

This would be a great feature. I am surprised more people have not requested it.

With the management of collaborative shared forder for a team, this app is required to migrate to proton drive for my small business

It would make it possible to switch from a variety of other cloud backup and sync services/locations!

Omg this would be amazing if they had this.
This is the last feature that I would need before ditching Microsoft and joining proton completely.
I really hope they generate this in the near future. -

Today I received an offer to participate in the early beta group for the new Proton Drive app for the Windows platform. I am not a Windows user; my non-smartphone platform is MacOS. If Proton has been able to create a native app for Windows, I would expect that an identical app for MacOS would not be far behind. I would like to know how soon to expect Proton Drive for MacOS, and I also want to up-vote every other request that Proton may already have on file for Proton Drive for MacOS.
Moreover, Proton Drive would be most useful if it could interface with MacOS in such a way as to replace iCloud as a truly private, end-to-end encrypted cloud platform for synchronizing photos and videos (including metadata), messages, notes, and all other types of data that iCloud (and/or "iCloud+") can autiomatically synchronize across Apple (and non-Apple, such as Windows) desktop, laptop, and mobile platforms.

Strongly agree. It's impossible to upload various files simultaneously or upload a large file without the browser crashing because of the memory usage.

I'd like to be able to mount my proton drive on my linux box, something like /home/userproton or /mnt/proton. Please consider making this option available.
thanks

As I understand this idea, this is just a desktop sync client and it has already been asked in some other thread waiting for your votes. Don't scatter your votes into several requests that are asking for the same thing in different words.

As per the comments, could you please just remove "Mac" and make this for all platforms ?

Or like Dropbox. But with Proton's security

I would like to have Proton Drive for Desktop, similarly like it is done for OneDrive or Google Drive. Basically, an integration with File Explorer which then synchs with Proton Drive. Much easier to manage my files that way and access them.

This would be amazing. I love how some services are more tightly coupled with MacOS. Provides a very intuitive and seamless user experience. In some cases it nearly eliminates my need to use the services web or even desktop client entirely, except for the odd task here or there.
