Server-Only Storage for Proton Drive
A "vault" in the cloud for ProtonDrive where you can transfer files that won't sync to your desktop or other devices. Best example I can find is what sync.com already does.

I was surprised to find this element missing. I got Proton Drive primarily for cloud storage of personal records and photos, with shared file access as a secondary role. It's redundant to have these files sync to the desktop folder, consuming a lot of resources client side. There are some files, such as recovery keys, etc. that a person does not want synced to devices. Presently my only option is to use the drive exclusively online without installing the desktop or mobile apps and continuing to use Sync for file sharing with family (all of whom are also Proton subscribers). Being able to create a secure vault within Proton servers would solve the problem.

Critical for those of us who store photos in the cloud so they do not have to be stored on devices. Currently, I can upload from my phone to the cloud and then delete it from my phone, but the files are synced to my laptop, which defeats the purpose. I want cloud-only storage and to choose which files to sync, such as the Vault system with Sync.com where photos are put into the "Vault" and not synced with any device or laptop.

@Tobilos: I think this ticket is the reverse of the one you linked. That one is local to cloud. This is more of a cloud-to-local.
This ticket has been linked to similar requests here:

I currently use PCloud which mount a dedicated Cloud Drive in Windows and Mac.
My files are not stored on my local computer (no sync, no space used) and I can access them directly as if a mounted an usb drive. This is a must have feature to switch to Proton Drive.

Please put your votes to "Exclude folders/files" and close this ideally. The feature would solve this issue (server only files), in a more elegant and flexible way.

For me a must have, proton drive as a service (not having to be logged in to sync files) and files not syncing to other devices, only to the cloud.

This would be very nice to have (kind of like OneDrive vault) to store important/sensitive information.

You can do this by establishing a file share on a windows server with the protondrive windows app. Not my preferred workflow but works for now until they get a better setup together.
