The Proton Visionary plan offers 6TB. I know it's a bit expensive, but in my opinion completely worth it. It's hard to find, but you can get it by attempting to use Proton Wallet while the beta is full, then it prompts you to skip the waiting line with the Visionary Plan.

It would just be nice to be able to buy additional space, on demand, and independently from the plan. I have a Proton Unlimited and 570GiB of space, which is way more than enough for me today but I'd still love to have the option to expand beyond that if needed.

Again, reading the comments here, I have the idea that people have no idea about Proton's mission. Proton is not the cheapest, nor do they want to be. They will not even try to compete in prices, they even stated this themselves over and over. This is why you also see no crazy discounts. Privacy is worth your money, or not. If you don't care about privacy there indeed are cheaper options, if you care about privacy and Proton's mission within this space, the prices are pretty much okay. If you need more space go to the Family or Visionary plan, I got 6TB for 40 euro, it's worth it for me. I am aware that there might be cheaper options, I however am also aware that these options might sell my date or crawl through my files and maybe even index them with AI. So, therefor I am willing to pay extra to get privacy and to support Proton on their mission.

Personally I don't need more than 500 GB of storage.

But you never know what happens 5 years down the line and it would ease my mind to know, that I can upgrade, if I need to.

Out of curiosity, why do you need so much space? What do people do with 4TB? Is it mostly for videos?

This is a much needed feature. Proton Unlimited's 500GB are not enough. Same goes for Proton Mail Plus's 15GB. The prices are very expensive compared to other providers like Apple, Google, Microsoft and the storage offered is too little. Okay Proton provides privacy and a bunch for mail features but still, the storage offered at these prices is too little for 2024.

Agreed with Widdo and Eddie. Their should be more space options for "personal" use. I am hesitant to clog up my drive to much because the family plan is was to much money.

Under your current plans, the only way I can come close to the drive size I need is to pay for the family option. But that is limited to 1 TB per person. I need no less than 4TB just for myself. I don't need a family plan. I would like to see more plan options and for your pricing to be similar to or better than what Google and Microsoft offer. Otherwise, I will invest in personal cloud storage. I would rather use cloud storage as physical storage at my home or office presents security challenges.
